Awesome neighborhood with a mix of Lower East Side hipsters, Chinese immigrant communities, restaurants, hip cafes, bars, and old-school karaoke dives and legacy traces of the nabe's Jewish heritage.
Commissioned artwork and exhibitions in the lobby on each floor are awesome.
Probably one of the most awesome places in the universe.
The neighborhood is blessed with exceptionally good coffee options. The best is prolly that served at Lost Weekend on Orchard St., though Cafe Grumpy, Irving Farm, and Roasting Plant are a good, too.
Get a coffee and open a checking count in one retail location.
The inter-agency bagel war is heating up. Swing by the main kitchen area on Friday mornings to catch a glimpse of the "bagel police" in action. :)
Sit in the "bleachers." the seat have best and most comfortable sight lines to the main presentation area. Boo. Ya.
Eat the "media noche" sandwich -- an awesome trad Cuban sandwich with roast pork, ham, cheese, pickles and pressed bread.
Try the croque monsieur tartine. It's super-freakin' awesome!
Stare at the folks who spend 10 minutes trying to figure out what kind of lottery ticket they want to buy.
