Amazing melt in the mouth steaks
Gadget-obsessed experience design specialist. Compulsive cleaner and reluctant runner.
Probably the best fresh Rye bread I have ever tasted!
We arrived early Sunday morning. It was so calm and quiet. We felt like we had the place to ourselves! Staff were extremely friendly and outside van serves tea and cakes. A lovely weekend getaway.
If you sit outside to eat with your family, please be aware that some folk still think its acceptable to smoke next to other customers who are eating.
The jacket potatoes in the cafe are microwaved rather than oven baked.
Nice food and coffee. Not baby friendly though.
The take away curries are surprisingly good and great value.
Perhaps teething problems, but meal was an hours wait despite being warned it might take 30 minutes. Food was basically posh beans on toast with an almost undetectable amount of pulled pork.
Sometimes you might get extra cake and coffee top ups for free!
The drinks are very expensive and they will not tell you that you can't take your drink into wedding rooms. High prices are not matched by service
Try and come in early or late to avoid the blue rinse queues
Sign up for a myWaitrose card and get a free tea or coffee every time you visit
The food is often below par. The Sunday roast I just ate had veg which was under cooked and shrivelled. Meat was tough and potatoes were under roasted. Hopefully they will get there act together soon
Can't fault the coffee. The Mexican panini is also very good
Perhaps my favourite restaurant in Cheltenham. Bring your own booze though!
If you order the Risotto, make sure you ask them to cook the red onion. For some reason they normally serve large chunks of it raw in the Risotto.
