They only serve beer and pretzels, but that's more than enough to make this a must-visit location next time I'm in Boston. Staff is friendly and barkeeps are more than happy to share Harpoon history.
Delicious pretzels with all sorts of dipping sauce, incredible beer selection, including some that haven't been released yet. Fun, informative tour for $5. Check out the outdoor area with corn hole!
Great selection of draft beers and the pretzel with beer cheese is amazing! We didn’t have time for the tour, but hear that’s also great. Will definitely be back!
Specialty flights are the way to go, and the pretzels are delicious! Well worth the wait to get in, but if you arrive in the afternoon you may not get in to a tour.
What a fun brewery. It’s gigantic. And do the flights great giant parking spot. Make sure to get the flights. Get the pretzel it is everything. Any sauce u choose your winning!
Harpoon Brewery does small group tours all year round. It can be difficult to get to on public transportation so I'd recommend a taxi or Uber if you don't have a car with you. The Harpoon UFO is best!
At this craft giant best known for its UFO Hefeweizen, you can fill up your glass during the tour with samples that include green, unfermented IPA. Read more
Tours are worth it! Abundant free samples and nice talk about the history of this great Boston Brewery. Also, you must try the bagels. Especially the one with IPA sauce.
Just great. Nice walk from S. Station along waterfront. $5 for unlimited tasting for 20mins. Beer garden has flights and yummy/filling variety pretzels.
For a $5 donation to charity, you get to see the working facility & sample unfiltered beer right from a giant vat. At tour’s end, use your souvenir glass to try all the beer you want at the mini-bar. Read more
Hot as shweaty bawls in here....no air conditioning!?? Its a 90 degree day in Boston...Get it ogether, Harpoon!! The only redeeming quality tonight is the parmesanpretzel with marinara...phenomenal.
Definitely worth a visit or two or more, especially if you’re a beer fan. The only negative is that the location is not the easiest to get to if you don’t own a car so plan ahead.
You don't need to do the tour, just find a seat and the table and indulge in Harpoon's finest. Their on-site beer hall has seasonal beers that aren't sold in stores, either. Pretzels are legendary.
Get a flight of the pilot beers (not distributed anywhere else) or the speciality beers (chalk handles). Or get a beer cocktail of the raspberry and chocolate stout!
Tour involves free tastings at the end. Make sure to try any seasonal a or specials while they're free so you know what you want before having to start paying for drinks.
They offer three different flights consisting of four 4-oz samples: an IPA flight, a UFO flight, and specialty flight including some rare pilot batches.
Try the Pilot Series flight while you wait in the tasting room. You'll get a chance to try almost everything else during the rapid fire tasting in the middle of the brewery tour.
Fill a couple growlers straight from the tap, then T over to the north end to grab some pizza, then sit outside and have the best summer afternoon ever.
They stopped doing the free tastings when the beer hall opened, but you can still buy tix for the brewery tour. The pretzels are made with spent barley from the beer making!
Best tour period. You stand in a bar, listen to music, and drink as much free beer as possible. Try asking for the truffle shuffle and apple pie - you won't be disappointed.
Great atmosphere, great harpoon regular and special selection and the best pretzels I've ever had. Also try their root beer and Green iced tea - both fantastic.
This little brewery is now served all over the country and has 2 breweries (one here and on in Windsor, VT). Take the tour and enjoy some free samples!
Grab a pretzel with your pint, make it salty. Also, avoid the regular beers and explore the limited batch brews. If you can, come to an x-night event, much fun
Beer lovers can sit at the bar or around long wooden tables and enjoy pints of freshly brewed Harpoon draft beer with friends, old and new. You’ll have great views of Boston as well as the brewery and new canning line.
