Strawberry Shortcake desert is awesome! It includes vanilla bean whipped cream YUUUUUM! A server brought out some BBQ shrimp that smelled great too. Will try on my next visit.

Heavy Woods has the most mouth-watering chicken biscuits in all of Bushwick. Constructed with hand-made pepper jelly, cilantro, and Maldon sea salt, they go well with whiskey. Read more

Chef Simin Glenn's Tchoup Shop serves up some serious New Orleans flavors with a bit of Indochina influence. Start with the pork cracklin. "Beaner" pic attached. Eggs over pork rice and beans.

Boudain balls amazing ✅ gumbo very creole rather than cajun (free cup w/ entree via yelp)✅ chicken biscuit very savory had to use a fork n knife ✅ I just wish there was more light so I could see food

Order the chicken biscuit. It's the absolute best I've ever had. It's the Drake of biscuits. It's a good grill and you know it.

Gumbo, Jambalaya and te sausage! The chicken biscuit is good but too sweet for us. One of our favourite places in Brooklyn so far.

When the music is bumpin' this place is the TITS. Good brunch from what I hear. Great happy hour from what I know. Crawfish mac is very good as is the jambalaya, biscuit, & deviled egg (lol).

Absolutely MUST try the chicken biscuit sandwich. A bigger snack but needs a side of making it a meal. The Crackin are better once they cool down a little but are still delicious!

The chicken biscuit will stick to your ribs (and make you stronger). They sometimes show sports on their TVs, so beware (or get there early if that's your thing).

Cheap, delicious food and good beer list. Definitely stop by if in the area. $6 for rice, beans, bacon, sausage - can't beat it.

Well-picked rotating selection of draft microbrews. Get here early if you are rolling with a crew. Seating is limited and the space, while nicely decorated, is small.
