The best south-indian food there is in the bay area. The magic they work with "available" ingredients, gets us really close to flavours from India.
Too many complain that Anjappar is too hot to handle. I'd say, that is the Chettinad cooking style/specialty/tradition. Sorry, we love to keep our Chettinad that way.
Not a big fan of Tirupathi Bhimas, but many friends seem to love this place, so I've included it in this list :)
