- Christopher FlossDecember 1, 2014Excellent breakfast dishes. The pastries are very fresh (the Pecan Roll is amazing!). Also, the breakfast flatbread is a must (bacon, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, cheese--all on a thin, crispy flatbread)
- Serious EatsMay 22, 2013The shells of the macarons are satin smooth and beautifully colored. Most have a great texture. The standout flavors include the choco-coconut, which tastes like a Samoa, and the mint.
- BravoNovember 11, 2010The only place in Chicago with authentic canele de Bordeaux. May I also say they are some of the best I have had in America. A canele and espresso and you will be transformed to Paris. -Malika Ameen,

- If you're a fan of sinfully good chocolate cake, walk straight to the glass pastry case and order the Chocolate Obsession. That is all.
- Brunch menu is great - love the frittata. Macaroons to go are a great idea if you happen to be passing through
- At lunch time, quiches are heavenly with flat bread a close second. Tea is served the way it should be. Service can be slow at times.
- Christopher FlossMay 28, 2016#breakfast in #chicago doesn't get better than the croissant sandwich at Pierrot Gourmet. See for yourself!

- David AdlerMarch 15, 2011Possibly the best coffee in the city. Try the tarte flambé, all the pizza topping goodness without the carb heavy crust guilt
- Ryan AlafrizMarch 27, 2015Disappointed to see they didn't have quiche, but the popover was way better than a quiche could have been anyway. Delicious!
- Teri PytelApril 30, 2013Peanut butter &jelly macaroon and caramel cream puff. The latter being the better.
- The best chocolate pastry in Chicago is here. It's called Chocolate Obsession.
- Noor KAugust 17, 2015SO BAD. You should leave before even going in. The food was oily, salty, and the chef couldn't even perfect a simple burger patty. This restaurant is definitely not in the Peninsula's standards.
