It's got its faults and some sketchy characters, but it's THE park of SF, period. It's got it all: stadium, conservatory, and some of the finest patches of grass on which to trip your balls off. Read more

Plan to spend a whole day here. There's so much to see and do. Look out for the free shuttle that'll take you around the park when you're tired. Super friendly drivers.

So many things to do here! Visit the bison paddock, Cal Academy of Science, deYoung Museum. Best explored by bike. Fun fact: GG Park is the largest park in America, larger than Central Park in NYC.

A country side within a city, a manicured wilderness. Get lost forever but be home in time for dinner. Rent a boat on Stowe Lake and then take in the Sunset at Ocean Beach.

Incredibly well kept park, especially in view of San Francisco's often shabby public cleaning standards. A lovely park to take in some culture or go for a long stroll or bike ride.

A total gem, home to a variety of museums and conservatories, buffalo, and a lovely mixture of European classical architecture with other portions more natural feeling.

Next to Central Park NYC, I don't think there's any other park that comes close then Golden Gate Park. It's a beautiful oasis in a city.

A must-visit not only for its Herzog & de Meuron–designed de Young Museum but also for lesser-known gems such as the Victorian-era Conservatory of Flowers and a paddock for rare American bison.

Huge Ginormously Beautiful Park. So much to do, to see - botanical gardens, dog parks, museums, gardens, bison, lovely cruising ride to the ocean, or anywhere in the city, esp on a Sunday - no cars.

One of my favorite parks! Museums, rose gardens, trails, Outside Lands, ponds. Great for running ( a few half marathons and marathons go through the park), walking, and biking.

Golden Gate Park is recreational heaven. For bikers, walkers, runners, roller skaters, etc.: take advantage of the whole eastern half of JFK Drive when it's closed to traffic on Sundays.
