Probably the best curry house in New York City...try the Lasanu Gobi - Cauliflower to die for and also the Chicken Tikka Masala and my Fav the Lamb Vindalooo. The Phaal is not for the fainthearted !

While it is definitely delicious don't order saag paneer when you are with a group of friends post beer heavy football match. They will make fun of you for being a veggie even if you are a carnivore.

The Phaal seriously hurt me but it was well worth it. I am seasoned chili freak too so don't try it unless you have a gut of steel! The rest of the menu is amazing too. Great service also. 10/10!!!

The food here is fantastic. The Fish Moilee, the Aloo Gobi and the garlic naan are all amazing. A little more expensive than 6th St but worth it.

For gluten-free options, try: the pakoras, (which are friend in chickpea batter), and the balti, or the meat sizzler (lamb chop, chicken, and shammi kebabs).

Known for their 'spiciest curry ever' gimmick, this spot stands out from many of the others on the East Village's Indian restaurant row.

Best saag paneer I've had, and if you like it spicy just ask for fresh chillies. The raita was also thick and super tasty.

If you have a strong constitution, try the Phaal – an excruciatingly hot curry. Otherwise, the Chicken Tikka Masala is a safe bet, paired with Sesame Naan.

Not only was the food amazing but I have very annoying allergies and they specially made my dish! The waiters were really friendly and on top of everything. Highly recommend.

Spice-addicts will want to opt for the phaal curry challenge, but the poor quality of all other dishes is a drawback to the first visit.
