Wonderful atmosphere, on a sunny day or late at night. Also, ordering martinis is fun since they'll bring the shaker to your table and fill your glass right in front of you. Great cocktails!
Delicious food, fantastic atmosphere, awesome real Italian craft beer. Pesto lasagna is the best thing i ve ever tried also goat cheese, walnuts and caramelized onionpizza. Perfect.
The enclosed garden is wonderful! Incredibly picturesque. The lasagna al pesto was wonderfully fragrant, a bit expensive but the surroundings made up for it. Enjoyed lunch and Washington Sq park.
Amazing pizza! For a non brick oven pizza, it's very delicious. Try the prosciutto (pizza con speck), and start with the cheese platter. The outdoor garden area and huge lanterns are so pretty.
Seriously just had the best experience. The lasagna was amazing. And the pizza crust is perfection. You must get tiramisu. Love the garden dining room. There is also a jazz club downstairs!!
Great spot for romantic dinner or nice dinner with friends - best to be in the mood for pizza because that is staple entree. The pesto pizza is outstanding and great wine selection.
The ambiance just in the front door is atrocious but it gets better, try for the garden area in the back or settle for the downstairs. Good food for a good price. Maybe a getting-to-know-you date.
I usually find Italian rest in NY very ‘meh’ but really liked this one. The carpaccio was awesome (the arugula salad was so good!) and so was the bologneselasagna
don't miss the FOCACCIA CRISPS. they are the BEST. i make them part of every visit. they make their own focaccia - get it with a sandwich, too. the RASPBERRY CRUMB cheesecake is among the NYC ELITE
Cozy environment and great place for a large group dinner. Cheese plate and crostinis were tasty and the whole menu, including wine list, were very reasonably priced!
the focacciachips are one of the greatest things to enjoy in NYC. they make their own amazing desserts. the raspberry crumb cheesecake should be on every nyc TOP 5 dessert list. wines are good value.
I feel so guilty for not writing a review earlier since I wanted this place to be my city's beat kept secret.but guess what the more you praise it the more places like it would open. Pesto Lasagna.
Very romantic place. They have a gorgeous garden with cute lampshades. They have pretty large wine and pizza options. We did not have chance to taste their deserts because we were full:)
Amazing desserts. Usually I order online from sites like sweetstreet .com, loveandquiches.com , etc. But the exquisite taste over here makes us visit this place again and again. thanks
You have to get the foie graspate with focaccia crisps! And the salad tht comes w/fontinella cheese:) You won't do wrong ordering the typical bruschetta either. And if they have it, the carmenere
The garden is beautiful and tranquil! Getting mixed drinks takes rather long, but wine by the glass is a quick order. Extensive menu as well - go for it.
The portions here were kind of big and it surprised me! But that's okay. Just know what you are getting into if you go three courses. Sharing with a friend/date is a great idea.
Had a Chai Tea Latte, was a little but too much milk didn't feel the spice, the bruschetta should have cheese options on them, but dispute all that I enjoyed the place, very tranquil.
I was expecting more considering the rate. Food and setting are great, but the staff is not the best. Great cheese platters and delicious focaccias for an aperitivo with coworkers.
Established in 1977 by Carlo Antonini, this iconic Greenwich Village cafe features thin crust pizza, extensive collection of wine and liquor, a year round garden, live jazz 7 nights a week, and Tarot by Janet Horton every Sunday evening.
