Definitely should try duck. If you wanna keep healthy diet with French cuisine, try their duck breast, pretty lean and sided with streamed beans and potato. One of the best French American places.

Start with a Jameson Manhattan. Ryan the bartender says they must be stirred not shaken. Hanger steak was complimented by the onion sauce and delicately dressed salad. Delish. Ask for Tim or Eric.

Why do I like Les Halles? Steak frites and salad is a winner. Always a great bit of beef excellently cooked. Fries check. 1664 on tap check. Great tunes in the bar check. Nothing to complain about!

Breakfast menu is divided into Parisien and New Yorker - go for pastries and fruit from Parisien and eggs benedict or oatmeal from NYer. Not too busy in the morning and perfect if in a hotel nearby

VERY GOOD restaurant, the food quality is amazing, the only point is the tables are very close from each other, but we are taking about NY

Famous for being the restaurant of Anthony Bourdain. The hamburger game is strong and the ambience is what you would expect from a bistro aka white tablecloth vibes

A calm and laid back atmosphere with an incredible wine selection and comfortable outdoor seating. We love the escargot here, and always finish our meal with a delicious crepe.

The food is great, and highly recommend the confit de canard, or filet de boeuf. Get a table while Tricia is working. She's the best there, and will make sure you're taken care of.

Prepared tableside, the Steak Tartare is delicately grounded and delicious! An order of their crunchy, rightly oiled truffle fries on the side makes it an even more unforgettable meal.

I only stopped here for a simple breakfast of toasted baguette and cafe au lait - but the setting was gracious, the service impeccable, and the repast exactly what I wanted. Delightful!

We were kind of worried when it was half full at 10pm on a Friday night, but the food was excellent. Great steak frites, they made up for the not so great service.

I tried the Hanger steak and I can say it was the best steak I've ever had. For rare meat lovers only. Oh, and guys, Anthony Bourdain doesn't work here anymore! It's been years!

There's a reason the rating of this restaurant is dropping cuz the service. I lived in this neighborhood for a while and wrote good tips about their food. But server can be snobby.

They may have nailed the French bistro food but they do not have soy milk here, fyi. Choose from a Parisien or a NY menu at breakfast and at dinner, the roasted salmon was great. Safe classics here.

The dish we got was amazing. Filet mignon with salad and crunchy fries great paired up with a San Julian wine. Escargot was amazing and dip the bread in it's buttery sauce.

All good tastes here. I enjoyed the steak tartare and the mussels. Devilled eggs were ok, but not special enough to order again. Fries are nice too but not as legendary as most people say.

N-Sider Brunch Spot: Bagatelle is the quintessential NYC dining experience. A DJ spins house music, you have a spectacular wine list to choose from and the food is très magnifique!

Order the special dessert "Chocolate crème brulee" and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Japan Society for victims of the earthquake and tsunami. It's really delicious and for a good cause!

$1 oysters, clams and shrimp at the bar Monday - Friday. 1/2 price bottles of wine Monday. Frisée with lardons. French onion soup. Steak frites. Classic. Like Fidi more than midtown.
