Well, what can I say? I was born & raised here. My fav things about Philly are the history, ethnic variety, proximity to so many other places, walkability, & parks (namely Fairmount, FDR, & Pennypack)

if its late and you don't trust the area you are walking around in, walk in the street to avoid someone jumping out of a dark corner.
Lots of great restaurants & shopping in center city Philly.

Take a dip in the Delaware River. If you can drink a pint of water without puking you win another pint.

Try jims steaks on south street. They have the best cheesesteaks in all of philadelphia.

I guess if you're into that kind of thing. If you want a really great city, move to DC. Less crime, more parking.
Bruce GebhartMarch 28, 2014I was very disappointed in Philadelphia. It was dirty, littered, and most of the historic sites are run by the federal government which does not know how to do that very well. I won't be back.
Forget Geno's..the best steaks are at Maxes Paganos and Explorers den.

Karl G.April 2, 2011Philly has a friendly ad campaign to attract tourists. To bad they aren't friendly. Just got a parking ticket literally two minutes after a meter expired. I am taking my tourism elsewhere!!!!
