Very beautiful Basilica with numerous luminaries buried there, including Michelangelo and Galileo to name a few. A lot more artwork and things to see than the Duomo and less crowded! No wait to get in.

A basilica to visit. The price of the ticket is worth it if you have never visited Basilica. With all the activities to do in this city, the budget goes up quickly. Priority 2!

A really interesting visit, from the tombs and monuments of famous figures to the history of the building itself including the impact of several floods over the years. Has a beautiful courtyard too.

be sure to visit the famous Scuola del Cuoio (leather school) in the rear of the church. Pick up a handmade item and have your initials stamped in gold leaf on it for free (be sure to tip the guy!)

It was interesting and nice but I'm not sure it's really worth the time and price. If you're looking for art, Uffizi is much better

It is a Franciscan church. The site was in marshland out the city walls. It is the burial place of the most illustrious Italian such as Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, Foscolo, Gentile, Rossini.

Italy’s most illustrious citizens, Ghiberti, Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo, and Rossini, ETC are buried here. The church was founded in the 13th century by St. Francis himself.
