Sooo tasty and authentic. Don’t miss kotthu roti and hoppers (ask with extra coconut sambal!!). Service is slow (but friendly) so be prepared to wait for your food

They have varying levels of spice, even their mild is fire hot. Ask the waiter for suggestions and he will steer you in the right direction. I loved the Sri Lankan vegetable soup to start.

One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Go for the Sunday lunch buffet. If the spice starts to get to you, ask for a little cup of yogurt... It helps and goes well with the curries

Hoppers: bowl-shaped, crepe-like pancakes made from a fermented rice and coconut batter, giving them a slight sour tang, served both plain and with a gently cooked egg in the middle.

Great spot for some spice on a cold night! Visit the store downstairs for a surprisingly exceptional selection of beers, it’s byob and cash-only/Venmo.

Casual. black curry and pol roti. kotthu roti, a roadside specialty made of chopped up pancakes, eggs, and vegetables that's stirfried until the flatbread is crispy. Sigiri is also BYOB.

Tired of getting ripped off on crab at most restaurants? Get the crab curry here extra spicy and you'll get enough to feed 3 people, soaked in a delicious and dangerously spicy broth.

The food at Sigiri is delicious and bursting with flavor. The chicken lamprais and string hopper kothu in particular. Don't get the Sri Lankan spice level! Bring cash!

The black pork curry is so good. Meat feels like it has been braised, and the sauce is intensely flavorful. Medium spice level is enough to get the sinuses churning.

LOVE the black curry - incredible combination of flavors, superb dish. Beware of high level of spice (which I loved). Appetizers not at the same level as main courses.

Not bad. Decent ambiance. Quite similar to Indian/Pakistani cooking. Though the best dish I had was the pickled eggplant (Muju). Order it with rice, medium spicy. Followed by their ginger tea!

So flavorful. The Black Curry and Kotthu Roti were super tasty. I suggest getting a side of white basmati rice cause it is spicy!

It was my first time trying Sri Lanka food and totally loved it. This place is a gem and pretty authentic. As they don't sell alcohol, you can bring yor own wine if you will!

Really loved their kotthu roti but lost my appetite after seeing a mouse crawling around the ceiling decorations during my visit. Table of girls sitting below it didn't have a clue. #eastvillage.

The fish cutlets are a must. And if the food's too spicy, get the Curd & Treacle for dessert; it'll cool you off.

We waited an hour for our food (crab curry and an order of pol roti). When it came, the curry was so salty that it was almost inedible. Go to Staten Island for your Sri Lankan fix.

Definite value. The spicy here is SPICY, which almost never happens. Service is shit. Took them 45 minutes to take our order, but we didn't care that much because it's BYOB.
