My first visit to this historic city and I will be sure to come back. So much to see! We walked for miles, visited many shops, eatieries, took advantage of bus system and water taxis..just wow!

Savannah is an amazing city- there is anything and everything to do for all ages. Visit as much of the city as you can!
Ha ha... we who all live here know what the deal is... a nice place to visit, but... Yet, we somehow still stay. Hmmm.

Savannah's recorded history begins in 1733. That's the year General James Oglethorpe and the 120 passengers of the good ship "Anne" landed on a bluff high along the Savannah River in February. Oglethorpe named the 13th and final American colony "Georgia" after England's King George II.
