Great city. I would say, the better choice than Palermo. More cozy, better views.

It's hard to think about this city as an origin of the great mafia.. Some places are inspiring, some are even dangerous.. No nice seaside though.

Filled with history and culture. If you don't have much time catch a daily tour in town by the Duomo or search on Facebook for events, there seem to be many in town.

Try a couple of "granita" with "briosche" in a famouse cafè along via Etnea (for example Savini"'s cafè...a tasty experience you'll never forget

Underrated gem of a city, mixing Greek, Roman, Byzantine, medieval and baroque architecture and sites. People are friendly and sites are walkable. What’s not to love?!

There is free wi-fi at piazza Universita and piazza Vincenzo Bellini. You just need to like a Facebook page.

Dirty City, full of garbage and bad smells. History center(2-3 streets) is the only clean place here👎

What's good here? The fact that you are just an hour distance to Syracuse. Catania is just a large ghetto. Stay well away

Beautiful city, friendly people, great food and easily accessible. A great energy the city over. Also only a short journey to some of the best beaches, eg: Taormina, etc.

Catania ligt aan de voet van de actieve vulkaan de Etna en heeft de meeste theaters van het eiland. Er bevinden zich veel theatergroepen, zowel professionele als amateur-theatergroepen, in de stad.

Город оставил неоднозначное впечатление... с одной стороны очень крутая архитектура, море, рельеф, климат... но очень грязно, стены домов все в надписях, есть ощущение неухоженности и запущенности.

В городе есть что посмотреть, но это все отвлекает: грязь, мусор и уличные торгаши. Город не особо большой, по-этому оставаться тут больше чем на 3 дня не советую.
