- Sander ZuurhoutOctober 18, 2015When the weather is bad (fog, rain) don't pay the entrance fee, because the trails are impassable. You can drive around the Mittens by taking the free route 163 to Mexican Hat.
- Matt LJuly 4, 2017Didn’t think this place would amaze me after spending time in Zion and Grand Canyon. But it’s awesome and definitely worth the detour. Pony up for a guided tour at sunrise or sunset.
- C RolandoMarch 21Beautiful but rather bumpy road. We had a rental SUV. Would never take my car although some people were. The formations were incredible, worth the trip
- eric bornemannSeptember 5, 2022Amazingly beautiful and sacred space. Don’t be expecting the comforts of a NPS park unit however.Upvoted Jan 29
- Boon KohOctober 19, 2022This is the loop drive map in Google Maps: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1igGITwQ3ssON0VxXJSxca6knGyI8QNA&ll=36.96412324094735%2C-110.07283550836813&z=13
- Boon KohOctober 19, 2022Don't miss the Photographers Point inside the gift shop, for the best photos
- Boon KohOctober 19, 2022Entrance fee is $8 per person (not a fee per car). Can't use National Parks annual pass here.Upvoted Jan 29
- Michele DowlingApril 15, 2023Went on a tour with Dineh Bekeyah Tours. Our driver Harry was great. Would recommend doing a tour.
- Elke De PourcqApril 9, 2011Best view is from the top or artists point. All in all rather disappointing, luckily for only 5 dollars. Lots of stray dogs who are not taken care of.
- Kevin DragonNovember 26, 2014Rode the 17 mile loop road today in rented Dodge Avenger. The ride is fine, not too rough. Worth the $20 entry fee.
- Tom Van GoylenApril 30, 2016One of the most impressive parks in this state, absolutely stunning on a sunny day
- LisaMay 26, 2013Drive your own car, it's bumpy but much nicer than the tours. It's an hour and a half drive.
- Lisa GFebruary 23, 2011A must see experience! $5 p/p to get into & you get a map of the 17 mile loop road with 11 scenic stops. It's a dirt road and can be rough & corrugated, but if you go slow should be ok.
- NathanSeptember 4, 2017Absolutely breathtaking. Take a nighttime/sunrise tour to check out the stars.
- Kevin DragonDecember 20, 2014Beautiful day trip. Amazing landscape to view on the loop drive. Well worth it.
- Roger NorfleetNovember 4, 2011Drive your own car. As long as you're careful, you'll be fine. Don't take an open air tour unless you want to be covered in sand.
- I never get sick of visiting this place. It's my all time fave place in the world and my final resting place. ☺️
- Dale WicksJuly 9, 2013Filming a new western comedy Charlize Theron. Rode on Navajo Spirit Tour Sunset tour and it was decent for $80
- Tim HatfieldSeptember 23, 2016The gravel road is too rough to drive. Turned around after 1/2 mile and exited. Weather was good the road was just a washboard!
- Thomas LeachAugust 22, 2013The 17 mile off road route is really rough and i would not recommend it to anyone in a sedan - a 4x4 is a must really. Be careful!
- Lara RuizJuly 4, 2014If you don't have much time, it is not worth to enter; you still have amazing (free) views from scenic byway 163.
- Steven DonleyMay 12, 2012Don't come to take pictures for commercial or public exhibition without first obtaining a permit to do so. It is a violation of their laws.
- MalloryJanuary 2, 2013Forrest Gump ran through here and John Wayne's Stagecoach, and many more westerns were filmed here
- Heather ArmstrongSeptember 24, 2013Do not even attempt this if you have any kind of spine or neck injury. Or if you'd like to stay injury free. The road DESPERATELY needs care. It should not be legal to charge people for that abuse.
- EDRMarch 28, 2013The jeep tour with the Navajo was a rip OFF 80 dollars for a 2 hour drive almost no guide.... very disappointing: (
