No dinner in the East Village is complete for us without a visit to OddFellows after. Just like its Williamsburg outpost, our favorites are the Chorizo Caramel Swirl & the Buttermilk Honey Blueberry.
Sprinkles (on the bottom here, under Blueberry Buttermilk Honey) might be my favorite ice cream flavor in New York. it's simply Mr. Softee-flavored ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, but it's *magical*
Come for some of the zaniest ice cream flavors ever concocted. I loved the Burnt Honey Rosemary flavor, but everything is going to be great. Try the craziest one and read more on WinstonWanders below! Read more
Great unique flavors but focus on the ice cream and don't get distracted by all the fancy stuff. The pocket was just ice cream on a sweet bun which completely took away from the ice cream itself.
Great for Ice Cream and Sorbet Exploration. They have a solid base for both and are always finding new and well executed ways of jazzing it up. Somewhere for those who like to trying new things
Buttermilk honey blueberry is the stuff ice cream legends are made of. Rich, creamy, fruity, and just the perfect bit of a savory element that takes dessert to the next level. One of OddFellows' best.
I really wanted the chorizo :( I didn't realize they change their flavors daily and sometimes hourly if they run out. Combined 2 exotic flavors to indulge in experience, very worth trying!!
With a more manageable line than Morgenstern's but equally delicious & unique ice cream in flavors like Thai iced tea. Try it in an Oddpocket, which presses your choice of ice cream in toasted brioche
Loved their coffee ice-cream and I’m excited to try their coffee milkshake! :) Definitely one of the reasons why taking the side streets is a great idea. The best places are on them.
Although the selection isn't large, the flavors, which include Thai Iced Tea, Peanut Butter and Jelly, and Olive Oil, are creative enough to make up for it.
I love the flavors. I love the team behind this place. I love collaborating with them. Everyone’s got their favorite ice cream spot and Odd Fellows is definitely mine!!
An ice cream shop with some crazy flavors--Ants on a Log, their celery sorbet laced with peanut butter and raisins, sounds a bit suspect but is actually pretty darn delicious!
A must for for ice-cream/gelato enthusiasts. PB & J and Manchego Pineapple are the chosen ones. // Tip: don't be afraid to ask for samples. The girls at the counter are awesome!
Thai iced cream in waffle cone. Only 6 flavors here, a bit more conservative selection than the more crazy flavors you see at the Brooklyn location. Bklyn spot is far superior
Lots of creative flavors that change regularly, such as manchego, miso, saffron. I ended up getting the ice cream cookie sandwich which was weird with the funky flavors.
In a city where self serve frozen yogurts places exist in place of regular ice cream, Odd Fellows is an old fashioned ice cream store that does it right. And damn is it good.
Tasting Table: "Sam Mason brings his oddball ice cream flavors to the East Village, from miso-cherry to chorizo-caramel. Get scoops in cups and waffle cones, along with milkshakes and floats."
The key lime pie was surprisingly zesty. And the little crumbly bits of crust actually enhance and balance the taste, instead of just serving as a gimmick.
Y’all know we can’t resist a shop serving Buttermilk Biscuit Ice Cream! We’re also obsessing over the Thai Ices Cream, Oatmeal Cookie Dough, & the Miso Cherry!
