City of Denver

Denver is one of the few cities in history that was not built on a road, railroad, lake, navigable river or body of water. It was built right where the first gold flakes were discovered in 1858.

Be patient when looking for parking. Keep plenty of change in your car for meters. They take cards these days, too. Remember, don't park so close to someone that it forces them to hit you!

There were originally three separate towns where Denver now stands. In 1859, the other names were dropped in return for a barrel of whiskey to be shared by all.

Take a tip from your friendly neighborhood Human-Man and visit the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It happens to be the largest natural history museum in the western United States!

Beautiful city. 16th Street is very nice but the homeless situation is out of control. It's sad to see so many less fortunate souls.

Cheesman Park currently has 2000 corpses underneath it. Legend says that in spring, you can spot where the graves are because the grass turns green the earliest in spring.
