Great place for a day out in Stockholm. Make sure to pop in to the old workshops and talk to the people who inhabit them. The guides are very knowledgeable and dressed accordingly. There's also a zoo.

The world’s oldest open air museum was founded by Artur Hazelius in 1891. Immerse yourself into a miniature historical Sweden.

It was an outdoor museum for Sweden. Real houses, school, farms, and animals they collect it and bring it to show the real old life. It was new experience for me. I was really happy and interesting 😍

A very good place to take people visiting Sweden to any time of the year. Has something for people of all ages. This and the Wasa Museum are probably the best and least gimmicky tourist spots.

The oldest open-air museum in the world. Visit the historic buildings and don't forget to talk to the guides in them. They are very knowledgeable and they speak perfect English.

Something here for everyone. The historical buildings are fascinating. The animals are beautiful with big enclosures and demonstrations from baking crispbread to feeding wolves. Well worth the visit.

Go see the zoo, with bears, seals, wolves and a few other Nordic animals. Lots of historic buildings to poke around, many transported from all over Sweden. Lots of tranquil spots to sit.

A wonderful experience, so much to do. A lot of space and walking. Food is great. Animals including Moose and Reindeer. If there is an event on you can stay late too after the park has closed.

Skansen is great for families - not just the Nordic animals like bear, lynx and wolverine, but also old houses and buildings brought here from around the country. Explore Swedish history and culture.

One of the most beautiful open air museums/zoo in Europe. It’s not an ordinary zoo, there not a lot of animals, but the aviaries are huge! You can actually see how animals behave on a real environment

Amazing experience. A bit expensive but totally worth it. If you want to see everything, it will take you lots of hours. Prepare to walk and leave exhausted. But, as I said, it's worth it.

Very interesting mix of old historical buildings and scandinavian animals. Though I'm a bit sceptical to the whole idea of keeping animals locked up in the first place.

Here's a tip from some people that aren't generally keen on museums. But Skansen is sooo much more. It's an experience and every little house welcomes you with a different story. Must do!

It's pretty awesome, you have a lot of things to see. The only problem is that the most of interactive houses and activities closes up at 5 p.m. But all together I think it's worth 150 SEK. :)

Travel through time! Stay in touch with the nature and learn a lot about life in mid age in this part of the world. Count that you'll need few hours for Skansen at least, but it's worth!

As for the zoo part; if you're looking for exotic animals, you're in the wrong place. Mostly domestics, bears and so on. Still worth a visit though, as it's a lovely park.

The tram tickets are 25 krons upwards, 15 krons downwards. This is most bizarre mindset I've ever seen in a zoo or a museum. There's very little number of animals, don't bother going there...
