The special combo appetizer is for the adventurous. Your pick of three hot and spicy dishes from the cold bar, among which include pig intestine, beef maw & tripe, and pig tongue.
This place specializes in Yunnan/Dian cuisine, which is a different style than typical Chinese restaurants. Try the Cross-Bridge Rice Noodle or Yunnan-Style Beef w/ Mountain Mushroom.
Ask for a flight if you want to sample some of their brews. It's a taste of every beer on draft - I got 8 samples for $6!
The duck poutine was unreal. Our server said it might be too much for one person...I ended up eating the whole dish.
The Cuarenteno (from Mexico) was excellent. Nutty, slightly sweet, and smooth. Drink it black!
Grand opening on Wed, April 3! Check out all the activities planned for the day:
If you can read Chinese, ask for the Taiwanese menu, w/ classic dishes like 刈包, 五更腸旺, 三杯雞, 牛肉麵, 蚵仔煎, 梅菜扣肉, 椒盬軟殼蟹...all are excellent. Can't read Chinese? Ask the owner for some recs!
Delicious, authentic Taiwanese food. Portions are substantial, though. Ask how much food is in each order before you place them!
Their happy hour priced pizzas are smaller than regular pizzas. Make sure you tell them you want happy hour special, otherwise they'll give (and charge) you for full-size.
This place has coffee ice cubes! Keeps your cold drinks from being diluted as the ice melts.
Awesome old-school music and videos. Total GenX bar tho - you'll feel like you've crashed the Class of 1990's 20th HS reunion.
Try the Sumatra pour-over coffee...you can taste distinct overtones of chocolate and berries. Delicious.
Get a Samurai Jack: Jack Daniels, raspberry, honey & mint..deliciousness! Also try the Yellow martini: passionfruit vodka, yuzu, and grapefruit bitters.
They have savory muffins! I had one with sundried tomato, artichoke, olives, and feta. Amazing.
