The owls are not what they seem.
Making the Internet more like the real world and the real world more like the Internet.
"I have experienced nothing at the Great Northern Hotel but the most pleasant and courteous service imaginable." – Dale, hotel guest, May 1990
Delicious sandwiches that are so unfortunately engineered that they are too messy to enjoy.
The paninis are overpriced and the portions are small, but they make a decent three-olive martini.
The higher you get, the more expensive the water! But don't let that stop you from hydrating, especially on a hot and humid July afternoon.
Beware of over-sweetened drinks! Black iced coffees come with syrup unless you specify otherwise, and "light" frappuccinos are *not* supposed to taste like pure iced sugar.
Apel does great work, and does it quickly if you need it quickly. He charges fair prices, keeps long hours, is incredibly warm and friendly, and has a good sense of humor. Highly recommended!
Great wash and fold, wash and press, and dry cleaning services. They have friendly staff and have your clothes ready on time, so I'm going to miss them when I move!
I took a weekend-long Basic Keelboat class with Andrew, and it was great! Got lots of time on the water, learned a ton, and felt good supporting their community work. Highly recommended, I'll be back!
I got caught in a snowstorm on a road trip, and stopped inside Killington Sports to regroup. Even though I wasn't really shopping, Susie was very friendly and offered much-needed advice and support.
Dana and Rad do beautiful custom engagement rings! They're attentive, professional, creative, accommodating (but not afraid to express their opinion!), transparent, and patient. Highly recommended.
The pear mustard that comes with the meat and cheese platter is alone worth $24. Order it, don't mention the surprise to your companions, and ambush their palates.
The best cocktails I've had south of San Francisco and north of Los Angeles.
The food was mediocre, but we were a large group and we might not have been able to get a table together anywhere else in the building.
Don't be tempted by the lesser candy – touch nothing but the Reese's.
As others have said the service leaves a lot to be desired, but even if you tip well, you'll still be asked to leave almost immediately after paying the bill. Great dosas, though.
