This has that vibe of a classic New York dance club. Great place to see a live concert as well. Clean bathrooms but the attendants can be pushy about tipping. Dress in layers...can get hot on floor!
Their Gallery Bar is open as a café during the day; at night, stop in for a game on their Wii.
Before the space at 158 Bleecker Street was (Le) Poisson Rouge, it was the Village Gate--a nightclub that opened in 1968 and featured musicians like John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie and Billie Holiday.
