I wish that the comics had been divided into groups based on publisher, not just alphabetically by title.
Bonus to signing up for their pull list: All the comics you get within the time frame are 20% off! And all comics in the store will be 10% off, no matter what!
They're popular so they tend to run out of new issues quickly, but you can sign up for their pull list (for free!) and they'll hold all your comics for two weeks.
Good curation of classic and new comic series's

The basement where they have comedy shows gets super warm. Dress lightly.
Home to Nerdist podcasts and comics and vinyl toys and geeky tshirts and and and... Head blown away
Doctor Who swag including a life sized Dalek.
The best place to buy comics and see live comedy in L.A. I moved to the neighborhood to be closer to Meltdown and it was worth it.

Cool store with fun selection of books, but why does the pinball machine get balls stuck so much?? TILT.
Debate which superhero is best, then venture to the back room for a cheap comedy show at the NerdMelt Showroom.
The displays they have set up throughout the store were fantastic. I was that nerd walking around pointing out things and giving the history on it to friends. Was there for Greg Proop's podcast.
Fun fact: their little alien logo was designed by Dan Clowes (hence the collection) - great place for events but not for actual comic books.
Vintage buyers beware! I've never seen silver age books so overpriced.
If you are the nerdiest of nerds and still live at home with mom and all your comic books, they know you here. This is an LA best of best!
Boo. No dogs allowed.
Ask to use the restroom--the key is attached to a book!
Amazing shop for buying presents, not just for geeks, I got some great man-toys and books for the less geeky members of our family!
My second home in LA. Great shows, amazing staff, and comics, need I say more?!
Come to the meltdown comedy show every Wednesday night
Comic comedy to one side comic artists to the other and comics and multisided die!.
Amazing, the store is still in business! They sell the SAME book and comic merchandise that Barnes&Noble does, or Japanese Kinokuniya bookstore at the high price. Warning, NOT a discount place, sorry.
Meltdown gives me the bomb Smurf hook-ups. I've gotten Smurf figurines, Smurf graphic novels, and even a King Smurf bank!
Sunday evening is a free comedy show (open mic) that's always a blast whether you're going up or not!
Check out the G4 shirts for sale here!
It's great! , I usually use this as a halfway point to use the air-conditioner whilst walking to Amoeba from the Coffee Bean. It is great if you like comics like me.
I got a free bag and board!!!!
