Cross platform of the best local, regional, and national emerging artists can be found here.
By tickets at the box office and avoid all the service charges. Saves an easy 5-10 bucks per ticket. Open Tuesday through Saturday 12-8pm, take cash.
Get there a little early and stake out a spot on the upstairs balcony railing; sure, the floor's more fun, but the view from up top's unparalleled.
Don't sit on the stairs.
Noctuna is an amazing night to go to for those into 80s and classic goth!
Love it here.
One of the best places to see a concert!
Cash Only everywhere. Dirty bathrooms. But good bands sometimes come here.
One of the best live music venues in Chicago. Great history, great acoustics. A must.
Get a stamp before going to buy band merchandise because it is located right outside where they check tickets. If you don't have a stamp, you can't get back in!
Best place to see a show in Chicago
hey. the stairs. don't sit on 'em.
sweet venue for seeing great bands! huge variety of acts come through this place...it's not all just indie rock!
Stage left speakers. If you can take the bass, you will always be close to the stage, probably behind me.
Watch out for the security but def go if your favorite band is in town. They have a great sound system, venue atmosphere and location. Legendary spot.
You can park at the McD's just down the street. Either somebody will be out working the lot or you can just go in and ask the manager and they'll sell you a parking pass for $10.
the best booze bang for your buck is a whiskey on the rocks. 7 bucks and prob 2.5 shots. do it.
Drinks are a bit expensive, so get lubricated next door.
Another fabulous venue for music. Get a drink next door at the Gingerman before your show.
Love when Lucero plays here!
A lot of their shows are 18+ so you don't have to be 21 to get in. Just check online in advance. The tickets are cheaper online anyway!
Have seen many bands! Latest was Wild Flag! They ROCKED. The small venue is a great place to go, hang with your buds and listen to great music.
Hey there music buff! Come by before or after the show for some cheap Mediterranean eats. Check in on Foursquare for our Newbie special for $10 off the purchase of 2 entrees.
my favorite chicago venue <3
One of the best club nights in Chicago.
If you're into the goth scene or just like industrial/gothic music, there's a semi-monthly dance event that if nothing else offers excellent DJing.
Gotz Ta Go!
Try the Corned Beef Pipe Bombs (I think the name of these delicious treats was changed to Corned Beef rolls because people got offended.)
Find the next dance-based band coming to town (think Presets, LCD Soundsystem, MIA, or Boys Noize) and sweat it out on the floor - then bust down Belmont for hotdogs.
Go up stairs. The view great and the bar is close.
cash only bar! page says takes credit cards, but that is only for tickets
Premier venue in the city. Hip place in the hippest part of town. Saw the Pumpkins open the Siamese Dream tour here...that's what made me start writing music. Don't blame them...couldn't have known.
Best Venue in Chicago!
Fun place to watch a show but beware, it's incredibly hot inside!
If you're early in the line...marathon sprint inside when doors open. Take the stairs left. 2 flights. And sit at a table like a golden god
My favorite concert venue in the world.
Best sound system in Chicago.
Try the wings! I hear I'm awesome!
One of the best venues in the city (and my first Chicago show when I moved here). Can be hot during the summer, but the quality of acts booked here more than make up for it.

Egyptrixx plays here tonight with Modeselektor! Egyptrixx.net
1 of my favorite places! Go downstairs to smartbar after the show. If you run into Lenny tell him I said hello.
El grunge tuvo su casa en este lugar, que abrió sus puertas desde 1982. Aquí nacieron los grupos Smashing Pumpkins, Urge Overkill, Local H, Liz Phair y Veruca Salt. Perry Farrell continua visitándolo.
