You're allowed to go into a diff concourse for food as long as you have a boarding pass! On that note make sure you go to French meadow bakery in C for the best chicken & wild rice soup I've ever had!
A low-fare, easy travel choice offering dozens of non-stop flights, options for local cuisine, a GREAT used bookstore, the Gallery of Flight Museum and FREE ping pong while you wait for your flight.
For a relatively small airport, MKE has a great Delta Sky Club in Terminal D. Check it out. Self managed bar and they even have one of my my fav WI beers "Spotted Cow" ale from New Glarus Brewery!
This is a great little easy airport. Showcasing milwaukee based companies & putting thought into ensuring enough seating is in stark contrast to the crappy southwest terminal at la guardia.
Honestly my favorite airport. Clean, modern, not very crowded and small enough to easily walk the whole length. The rental cars are a short walk across the street from baggage claim.
Perfect alternative to O'hare. TSA agents are as clueless as any major/mid-size airport. Not much food selection inside so don't come hungry. Colectivo coffee saves the day.
Welcome to our great city! Don't forget to pay a visit to Clock Shadow Creamery to pick up some fresh Cheese Curds. A Milwaukee original. http://clockshadowcreamery.com/our-story/
If you have to change planes and the lay over is more than 1 hour, make sure you eat or have a sack snack cause eateries are slim to none! "Seriously" the bathrooms nice are though😃
If you have time, visit the Mitchell Gallery of Flight located near Concourse E. It is full of historical artifacts to Milwaukee’s aviation history and pays homage to Gen. Mitchell & Capt. Sijan
This is an easier for me to get in & out of the MKE airport than the Chicago O'hare. Easier to drop off & collect bags as well as departing the gates are close by.
Fly southwest. find an attractive person . Make conversation before boarding so you can choose your seat and not have to sit next to the big or annoying person. Safe travels
Fabulous used book store at entrance to Concourse C. Like visiting the Library of Congress for vintage books on history. Renaissance Book Shop. Don't miss!
If you are stuck in the area for the night the new Marriott Residence Inn is awesome. I may be biased since I was the principal in charge for the A/E team.
There's still 20 min of free wifi via Boingo. Click the "Get Online Now" button and choose the complimentary option. Watch an ad and you've got time to send a quick email.
Flying out of Milwaukee? Use the GO Riteway airport shuttle! It's cheap and they get you to the airport with plenty of time. Schedule a pick-up 24 hours in advance. Rountrip service gets $1 off!
If you're in concourse D, know that there is a moving walkway on the *lower* level but not the upper. There are escalators at both ends, so it's effectively a shortcut.
