There's more to our bagels than a crispy outside, a fresh, chewy inside and a tasty, tangy schmear. And no, we're not just talking about a smooth slice of Nova (although we only serve the freshest available)... ... we are talking about SOUL.
La Colombe coffee is a step up from your average bagel shop. Yum! The bagels... Let's just say it's no Absolute Bagel. A bit too tough for my liking, and I like salt on my everything bagels.
Best bagels on the PLANET. Hands down. Untoasted with a schmear of any of their specialty cream cheeses. I would fly to NYC for a dozen of these. YUM! And the everything's have salt...key tip!
I was here for 5 straight days for breakfast while staying with a friend for the U.S. Open. I always had the healthy bagel with different spreads - try the maple walnut raisin!! Yummy!!
They continue cranking out fresh bagels until about 11am. Given their no toasting policy, if you want to eat a bagel at its best go in the morning. Otherwise bring it home and toast yourself
Whole wheat? Tofu? What are you, meshuggah? Get a nice lox with a schmear, maybe, on a nice regular bagel? Don't be a schmuck and ask them to toast it... Eat, eat! You're all skin and bones!
The best bagels in New York. Seriously. They're insanely good. Whatever you're doing, just stop and go order a bagel with a schmear. Unless they're closed. Then you'll have to wait for that schmear.
The lines are pointlessly long, staff is rude. My order was 3 plain toasted bagels, no fillings, and the staff member told me that he cant toast all those bagels because it's time consuming??
I don't get why it's insulting to ask for a toasted bagel here. My bagel was not warm and fresh like he told me it would be and they have disgusting iced chai which they made me wait 10 min for.
Your SUV strollers ARE NOT ALLOWED in the shop and children ARE NOT to run around screaming and disturbing other customers. The shop IS NOT an extension if your home! LEARN IT!
Overrated. The tofu cream cheese is gross and the whole wheat bagels just aren't that good. If you get normal bagels and normal cc it's fine but still not the best. Also they are rude.
If the shorter chick with the slightly dyed hair rings you up watch your total. She's fucked up the last three times I was in there. But at least she's slow and always talking to her co workers.
This location and the 6th Ave location are equally good, but the Chelsea store is considerably larger and more organized. And they cater to the local fellas, so lots of healthy options.
Queue looks long but moves quite fast. Can't go wrong with the traditional - lox and cream cheese. Like it heated too.
I asked for a toasted bagel. The cashier told me after making it that they don't toast there. I was a little annoyed, but then he gave me an apologetic 25% off. A+!
Haven't tried the smoked salmon yet, but for a couple bucks, you can't really go wrong with an everything bagel and cream cheese. Just don't ask for it toasted.
Basis bagel with cream cheese and lox was amazing. They did not skimp on lox, and it was a very good bagel with high-quality cream cheese.
Fresh bagels with many kinds and amazing tastes to complete the pleasure. First place to visit in my next NY trip.
Oh and save your money on the corned beef sandwich. I just opened mine. It's basically a rubber and fat sandwich. Almost inedible. I'll guess I'll stick to the bagels.
Incredible bagels. If you like salmon, get the traditional with an everything bagel. You pay for what you get.
Terrible place to eat and an even worse place to work.Owners and general manager treat employees like shit(aka giving out personal information such as social security numbers to other people).$ wasted
Apparently asking for your bagels to be toasted is insulting. Lox and cream cheese is amazing, but be prepared to spend $12 on bagels and a coffee.
Good bagels, the guys behind the counter take so many orders a day they are a little scatterbrained. So order 1 thing at a time!
The best bagels in NYC live here. They don't toast so don't even think about asking. Weekend lines are long but it's worth the wait.
Amazing bagels, I had the whole wheat and tried several others. They were amazing. This place is fantastic for New York Bagels!
Whole wheat heaven! They have whole wheat everything, sesame, onion, etc. They don't toast bagels because they're delicious as is
This is still my favorite bagel in NYC. Delicious spreads, salads, and treats too. They don't toast, but you don't miss it.
If you ask nicely, you can get your cream cheese 1/2 sun dried tomato and 1/2 jalapeño, which is the best hot/cold combo on earth.
The lunch specials -- sandwich and soda -- are a deal at $5.99, and Wednesday's grilled chicken sandwich is especially delicious...
The rude staff, long wait and terrible service don't make this place worth it. Head a block north to Brooklyn Bagels for same quality - better experience.
Awesome bagels. Great variety of bagels, cream cheeses and toppings. Good and customer service. Highly recommended.
Food is WAY over priced and completely not worth the $. Especially when u c the gm watching from the back while the line is out the door.
... ask for the whole wheat everything bagel -- it's made with whole wheat flour so it's good and good-for-you ...
Good bagels in a convenient location. Strangely, they're better than their 6th avenue location. No idea why.
Get a scooped everything bagel with tuna salad and cucumbers for the a quick and delish weekend lunch.
Do not ask to have your bagel toasted. Repeat, do not ask to have your bagel toasted. This is not that kind of bagel place.
Great place - amazing bagels! Try the everything bagel with nova scotia spread and cucumber!
My absolute favorite bagels in New York. Great spreads, salads, and coffee. Friendly staff.
They wont toast your bagel, go to nearby Brooklyn Bagel instead. Its better even if you dont like 'em toasted
If you can do without coffee, the fresh squeezed OJ (typically on ice by the register) is fantastic.
Everything bagel with plain cream cheese can't be beat. They don't toast so don't bother asking.
The place to go for lovers of the crunchy bagel. No soft, doughy business over here. And they don't toast.
Sausage egg and cheese was below average because the cheese tasted like craft singles. Bagels are decent.
Mo toasting here! No worries since most of the bagels are crisp and warm. One of the best.
Not too good. Attendants are so rude. Food is regular (I prefer Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee).
The maple raisin walnut cream cheese is so good!
Make sure to get here before 2 on the weekend or you'll miss the eggs on bagels!
Everything bagel + creamy cheese + smoked salmon + tomatoes. Your life will never be the same
Have tried different bagels and they are all great! Just give it a go!
The sausage, double egg, cheese bagel is a delicious way to start the morning. So very tasty.
Great bagels -- and now they have a toaster so you have the option of a toasted bagel (finally!)
