Suri R: Seriously wonderful EV staple. Get the Schnitzel or the Hanger Steak (the price is a steal!)
Anna Frenkel: can't get enough of the avocado panini on sourdough, w/ home fries on the side, and of course, a cup of mud.
3. Souvlaki GR
Nina Yiamsamatha: Transport yourself to Greece. Order the Greek fries and a chicken souvlaki pita.
4. Great Jones Cafe
Nina Yiamsamatha: Split the creole wings and jambalaya with someone you love. Delicious.
Ted Power: Fried dough pizza.
6. The Meatball Shop
Maxwell Z: Whatever you get, put an egg on it.
Maxwell Z: Anything with the spicy tomato sauce. Seriously.
Jon Steinback: Best sit-down pizza in the East Village (and probably Manhattan). An ambitious eater can down a whole pie, so get a couple different ones for your table.
Nina Yiamsamatha: Order the Crack Kale (crispy kale yumminess) as a side.
10. Ninth Ward
Nina Yiamsamatha: Order an Abita + a french dip and you're ready to go. Sit on the back patio if you can.
11. Hummus Place
Holden Karau: Very delicious and not too expensive. Get the app combo.
12. SoHo Park
Mari Sheibley: The burger is really good. thin patty, a little salty, all delicious!
13. Pepe Rosso To Go
Kelvin: The daily specials on the chalkboard are always delicious. Get the gnocchi it's on the menu.
14. La Esquina
naveen: sometimes you can't go wrong with just arroz y pollo: get the plato julia
15. Café Habana
Meghan Kathleen: Three words: get the corn.
Nina Yiamsamatha: I literally crave the tomato soup on a regular basis. Order it with a sandwich.
