The airport needs more food options. For example, I am a vegetarian, and I went restaurant by restaurant and could not eat anything but Nachos. Few shopping options too.

Small but clean older airport with everything you would need. Rental Car is a little walk but they have carts available if you need help.

Please don't use those bathrooms. It doesn't seem to be cleaned very often. And there are only about 3 stalls(maybe 4 stalls) In the women's bathroom. The sink is opposite side of the towel paper!

Wifi is definitely better than any New York airport. Love the laid back atmosphere, and the lack of screaming children and annoying travelers.

With few restaurants/bars, seating and charging stations, this might be the worst airport. The security gates directly leading to a single concourse make it even less fun and more like quarantine.

Not the greatest airport in the world, but with so much to do and see in NOLA who cares, so long as there's water to hydrate from Bourbon street. The Jazz band greeting was a cool perk =)

Minimal amount of food options past security, don't even get me started on the lack of healthy options. I'm surprised the planes are able to take off after passengers load up on Popeyes.

This is literally the best airport I've been in. The staff is very friendly and there are super cozy couches to relax and even to sleep. Brilliant!

The airport feels small for the size of the city it serves and the number of tourists it hosts. The best part of the airport is the free WiFi. Also, it's not far from downtown.

If you want Dunkin Donuts it's before security in the terminal for Southwest. If you are on united or delta you have to walk to your right. More shops and food that way anyway.

Make sure you check the departure screen right after security otherwise you're walking all the way to the end of the terminal to find out what gate you need.

If you fly american on a Friday afternoon, there are only 3 real options for places to eat, and the lines can get pretty long so plan accordingly!

If more than two people, and going downtown, taxis are cheaper than the shuttles. Cabs are flat $33 each way (for 1 or 2 people or $14 pp if 3 or more). Shuttle $38 pp and need to pay in advance.

wow, the people here must hate their jobs because they are absolutely miserable, esp at ticketing and security. if you don't want to deal with a lot of people, prob shouldn't work at a busy airport.

Concourse B fucking blows!! No train from the rental car station, and you have the choice for Zatarain's for food (waiting for 45min) or you can eat shit (ie overpriced hot dogs from a street vendor)

The bathrooms by the Lost & Found in Concourse C are a relic of the pre-9/11 security setup, get no foot traffic, and are much cleaner than typical airport bathrooms.

Men: If you need to use a shitter, go all the way down to the 3rd men's bathroom. It has a wheelchair access sign. The first two bathrooms only have 2 stalls & guys are reading Star magazine. WTF!

Plan to wait about 30 minutes at security if you have a morning flight, unless you are fortunate to have a priority or tsa pre-check. Add 10-15 for printing boarding passes and dropping off luggage.

If you're renting a car, be prepared for a HIKE to the rental car center. There is no a rental car shuttle nor tram. Closer to terminal D; much further away from terminal A/B (Southwest @ AirTran).

There's a 'tavern' on D and some cheesecake scoop place at the very end that has some pretty fresh/healthier options to couple with the bar smack in the center of the pod :)

If you're flying out of New Orleans from Concourse B, note the only real place to get a drink is Zatarain's Kitchen and there's usually a line to get in. Best to find something outside of security.

Lobby of C and D terminal has waiting spaces that have USB and regular outlets if you want to charge up. From what I can see the chairs at the gate in terminal d have outlets as well.

How anyone is supposed to take this place serious is beyond me. I witnessed a TSA agent let a passenger through customs with a long expired ID and its easily the most unprofessional staffed in the US

Dooky Chase's (outside security) might be the best airport restaurant I've ever had. Great cajun dishes at non-airport prices. Don't miss it!

@NO_Airport - free WIFI is no bargain; it's so slow. Food court is really bad. Don't expect anything past security; certainly eat before you arrive. Security lines aren't bad.

Buy Souveneirs on your way out of town in terminal gift shops. They cost about the same as you would pay downtown, with less hastle from tsa security, especially snow globes!

Don't go to the Subway. Waited 20 minutes in line and paid almost $20 for two six-inch combos that they wouldn't toast. The rest of the airport was fine, nice staff.

If you’re unable to select the middle seat when booking your flight, do not book that flight. The flight is most likely oversold which could make for an unwanted adventure when take-off time comes.

As of this date airport shuttle roundtrip to and from dtown = $38. Cab = $33 each way for first 2 people, $14 per additional person. Groups of 3 or more = cheaper in a cab. Van cabs available.

Terminals are NOT connected. Be sure you are at correct security checkpoint for your gate. DON'T be sneaky and go to different checkpoint to avoid long lines. Security lines actually move very fast.

I usually only park at the airport long term lot, but decided to try Park & Fly. Not only was it $5 per day less, coupled with an AAA discount, I saved about $30 on my entire trip. I will still park

Don't get all the negative tips. Check and security was fast even for an early flight. Airport is old, and a little rough but not bad. Smoothie King right across from D4. Passion fruit was good.

Concourse B has decent food. Lucky Dogs, Praline Express, and Live Oaks are some local options. The Magnificent Burger from Jester's was pretty good, and huge to boot.
