Stimson Hall was the first Cornell building constructed in the 20th century! It is named for Dr. Lewis A. Stimson, a key organizer of Cornell’s medical college.
September 28, 1915: Cornell plays its first football game on Schoellkopf Field, defeating Gettysburg, 13-0. Cornell will finish the season undefeated, marking its first national championship year.
Did you know?! Henry J. Heimlich, inventor of the Heimlich maneuver, is a Cornell alum! Heimlich was also the drum major of the Big Red Marching Band.
