Pushpak ApteMay 25, 2017Get in early, the security check takes a hell lot of time... I would suggest you do a web check-in as there is a huge queue for checking in.... Direct baggage drop has comparatively less queue.

The coffee at Starbucks, outside the terminal and the bookstore inside the terminal are a great place to kill time if your flight is delayed!Upvoted Mar 3
Rushil DedhiaFebruary 21, 2018Becoming like a railway station in the morning. If you have a flight during peak hours (morning/evening), please give yourselves 45 mins extra just to navigate through the long queues at security.

Put electronic items in your cabin baggage in a separate tray for security check. Will save a LOT of time, ESPECIALLY if you’re a musician cuz the security personnel want it all laid out for them.
An amazing terminal! And it has actual food, not overpriced plastic containers like at the other terminals.
Just an update.. There's always a long queue for checkin early morning from 4-7

Monday mornings, domestic terminal is the same as Dadar central station. Quick tip: go for security check in from the 2nd left, queues are usually much shorter. After check, turn left for gates 1-9.
Sangram RoutrayJune 12, 2013Best thing no hard n fast in baggage weight. . Great na. . Worst thing is once u had a security check only choice left to have with Café ccino express & u can imagine next. .
You get 5mins of free time in the arrivals pickup zone which is really stupid, make sure to take another round other than paying 110rs as a fine for the extra time.
The best only domestic airport in India , even though only low cost carriers fly from here , its over crowded

If you want to pick up a radio taxi pick up from next to Balaji restaurant it will save you 110 bucks of taxi entry fee into pick up area.
At 3-4 am, the airport is surprisingly empty. No one else as far as the eye can see. The only sound to be heard is of the tapping on the touchscreen as I type this.

Better than the international terminal but its rather small considering how big and important Mumbai is. The should also have different terminal for low cost airlines and full-service airlines.

Tutti fruit cake slice @ street eat near gate 1 - 8. Lite and fresh. Upma also worth the price- Eat before entering the hand luggage security, there's nothing good to eat inside except barista. You can smoke, have a crepe, donut or a at ice cream at Baskin Robbins.
There is this place which has an excellent collection of spirits . Especially Pre mixed teacher's cans. Yay! U know what I mean !!

Head to the exit and get a taxi to the international airport.
Make your move quickly with AirIndia check-ins at the port. They really don't care if you have a confirm ticket - if a flight's it is full..

There is a very good lounge and there are many coffee outlets.

Anton JurovickiJuly 6, 2012Use free wifi, but be aware that you have to provide mobile number when signing up. You can't use two devices on one wifi code, just one.
If travelling for first rime then its advised to go for fleet taxi or prepaid taxi as it would save you from hassle and fraud..... Personally!! Easy cabs are preferred...
Warm and humid and they have toned the air conditioning so low it is hot and they charge us to use the facilities as though air conditioning is nit a facility

There is no ATM inside till you do you a security check
Worst terminal ever...crazy crowds..poor management.. Not enough place to sit..not enough information boards...worst of all..prone to a stampede at the security gate because of the design!
