They use Caffe Vita beans here. 👍🏻
The menu on 4sq is outdated. Prices are significantly higher.
Been here 3x. Nothing has disappointed. Perfect small kitchen preparation.
Decent bowl of spicy tofu jigae but for $12 it's overpriced as this place doesn't seem to offer any banchan like usual Korean restaurants. Guess this isn't K-town.
Heard good things about them. Saw an employee knock a baguette on the floor and put it back on the shelf for sale. =[ Turned around and went elsewhere.
FYI the "Buy 10 coffees, get 1 free" card at Joyce Bakeshop really means pay $1 if you want a large iced coffee. #bullshit
If you're flying solo, consider sitting at one of the counter spots or the communal table, especially if you're going to sit there and nurse a glass of water. Looking at you, laptop guy at a two top.
If I could marry baked goods, I'd commit polygamy with their muffins.
Avoid coming here for a sit down meal btw noon and 1. The line at the counter takes precedence. One server for all the tables, and she was working behind the counter too. Slowwwwww.
Don't make plans for anything after a trip here because 1. you will be late for your next appointment 2. you will be angry.
Weekday brunch M-F 11am-4pm, free beer or soda w/ chicken & waffle or sandwich order. I got the chicken sandwich w/ slaw on it and a heap of arugula salad and Arnold Palmer soda $12. Good deal.
Stopped here on a whim after enduring the Post Office. Surprisingly decent slice and for only $1.50 to boot!
Check out the wall of found items from used books dropped off at the store. It's behind one of the bookcases near the register.
Gluten sensitive folks, BYOT! Bring your own tamari! Not 100% sure if they know what a gluten allergy is so beware!
Avoid the agent named "S. Tan" -- she's surly, rude, angry and never scanned my pre-paid postage packages, so I have no way of tracking them. Another time, she was screaming at a customer. The worst!
They are wheelchair accessible and very kind towards my family, which is a huge plus. The food, though pricey, is excellent and was a great venue for my Dad's 70th bday. He ate everything. :-)
Get the Pignic lunchbox and put some of that slaw on your sandwich for added crunch. Bring it over to the High Line and enjoy the view while eating a really excellent sandwich.
