- Ziyan CSeptember 10, 2013They'll make cochinita pibil - slow roasted pork - even if its not on the current week's menu. Comes with tasty black beans, spicy salsa, and home made tortillas, not to mention the great meat!
- If you want authentic Mexican food. This is the place. Amazing freshly made tortillas served warm with chichirinas, head cheese (like abeulito used to eat) with pickled carrots and jalapeño. Go!
- Andy FlammMarch 14, 2015Exceptional dining experience in the Mission, starting with a pitcher of margaritas with freshly made guac and chips. Our main dishes were delicious and inventive. Not your typical Mexican place!
- The pollo tinga is awesome. Try it! Fresh juicy flavorful chicken atop a base of avocado and Serrano with a chipotle and tomato broth. With fresh hot tortillas. Yum!!!
- Rebecca GobersteinMarch 19, 2012Top notch Mexican sit-down on Valencia, the quirkiest street in the Mission. Pretty much everything on the menu tastes extremely fresh, bursting with spices & flavor.
- Ziyan CSeptember 10, 2013Consider the back patio: covered from the sun or the cold of SF nights, a view of a great jungle-esque garden, and a large communal table.
- Christian RodriguezNovember 19, 2021Awesome service, delicious food, and the back patio transports you to a tropical paradise far, far away. Honestly, I’ll be back next week.
- Michæl BrettNovember 22, 2015Good food, good service. Make sure you save some room at the end for the churros. Avoid the margaritas
- George WiscombeMarch 3, 2013Everyone is talking about the mole and for good reason. Needless to say the rest of the menu is also brilliant, tasty & authentic!

- Theodore Ordon-YaussiOctober 15, 2013Every entree is good but I really like the tamales. Groupon this one.
- BlackboardEatsOctober 4, 2011Must try from our editor's recent review: Chicken taquitos, Sangria and cochinita pibil -- http://bit.ly/oye7xf
- Mitch RuskMarch 12, 2012The mole is amazing. Everyone I was with was jealous they hadn't ordered it.
- Despite not having tequila, the agave wine margaritas are a great substitute.
- Brendan CurranAugust 7, 2014The fish tacos were pretty solid, if a bit overpriced. We didn't love the carnitas, which were surprisingly dry.
- The guacamole and tostada chips are excellent. Not to be missed!
- Lisa Sagastume-McTiernanAugust 13, 2011Try the chicken mole! It's amazing... and you must have a Mexican coke
- Kyle MeyerAugust 10, 2012Chips and guac were great. The rest of our food was bland and very overpriced.
- Min ChoMarch 23, 2013The manager is unapologetic and blames you for their faults. Don't eat here. Worst service.
