Jeff S.May 29, 2016The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is a throwback. The ticket prices are very reasonable and it reminded me of Shea Stadium. This old stadium is definitely worth a visit.
The sell beer in the stands + so many great places to go and have great food + beer and watch the A's!

Jennifer HalliganSeptember 26, 2013Anyone who doesn't like the Coli is just jealous of all the A's accomplishments throughout history. Even with Mt. Davis O.co is one of the best parks in baseball! The atmosphere is always electric!
Best baseball team in the Bay Area, bar none. If you don't need the pretty views, gourmet food, and fufu crowds, this is the spot for you. A place for blue collar fans who are really into the game!

They also serve made-to-order brick oven pizzas that are surprisingly good.

Of course it's old, decrepit, in a bad part of town, and Mt. Davis is an abomination. But its still fun to watch a game. MarkJune 3, 2013If you're a die-hard A's fan, the place to be is section 149 in the RF bleachers, home to some of the most entertaining fans in baseball (otherwise, look for cheap infield seats on StubHub).
The fan experience is boring, but always a great idea for visiting team fans to come here. As for Bay Area baseball fans, SF Giants fans have more class than A's fans since A's fans love to hate

It's difficult when you've been drinking, but you'll have an easier time leaving if you take the same route you came in. Even better get a ride share in B lot.

If you want sun, sit on 1st base side, field level. If you want the best team in baseball, sit anywhere. Go A's.

The food sucks but you can't beat free parking on Tuesday and a $4 ticket.

Don't forget to wear sunscreen for day games. Oakland is hot, and the coliseum is basically a giant frying pan.- Watch your language during A's games! It can get you ejected from the game! I saw three fans get ejected for using excessive profanity after being warned twice (three strikes and you're OUT!)
The $4.75 grilled cheese at the Burger Shack behind section 132 is delicious and a decent deal for ballpark food.
Be advised that the Dryer's stand by section 130 is the ONLY stand that will let you buy a water bottle with credit card in this entire stadium. If you have suite tickets, you can go just about any loction in the stadium including the entrance tunnel and cheerleader landing!
Make friends with the ushers. If you're nice, they might let you sit in better seats...IF no one sits there before they're supposed to send you back to your original seat!
Veggie dogs are in section 220. If you are not seated on the club section, ask for an escort, which they will do. Often it takes persistence and a couple of tries.
This was da bomb in the 70's but now it just blows! As need to go to San Jose, they will welcome Al and his traitors back in lipstick city and build a new venue for him there I am sure!
