1. Toro Salao
Megan H.: The mahi mahi fritters and toro sangria were especially good! If it's a nice evening, you can dine outside.
2. Cafe Mallorca
Megan H.: The service was a bit slow, but the mallorca with ham, cheese, and egg was worth the wait!! If you're in OSJ, make sure you stop here for breakfast.
3. King's Bakery
Megan H.: The wait was about 30 minutes, but so worth it! The maple cream, fritter, and cinnamon twist were all delicious.
4. Saratoga Apple
Megan H.: Tons of fresh produce and a very helpful staff. Pick-your-own apples will open Labor Day weekend - I'm already making plans to go back!
5. Alice's Arbor
Megan H.: Great cocktails, especially the old-fashioned. One of my favorite spots in Brooklyn!
6. Vegetarian Ginger
Megan H.: The staff went out of their way to move the heater closer to us, bring us jasmine tea, orange slices, etc. The portions were generous and inexpensive. Loved my Szechuan Seitan!
Megan H.: Post-run lift
8. Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe
Megan H.: These guys make the best egg & cheese on a bagel. My go to: whole wheat everything, egg, cheese, spinach, tomato.
9. Uncle Louie G's
Megan H.: The pb chocolate cup Italian ice is so creamy, like ice cream! Yum.
Megan H.: Much less crowded on Fridays, apparently everyone likes to start the week healthy. Mondays are a zoo! Get the lemon-tahini dressing.
11. El Picoteo
Megan H.: Beautiful spot! The champagne sangria is really yummy.
