Take your goggles with you, they don't have goggles to rent. This place is more beginner friendly than Nanshan Ski Resort. Bring some food with you also.
Nice resort, one 6-seat lift, one non sitting lift.... Finally they had big snowboarding boots; size 47 (13US)
Drive daytime from Beijing. Badaling can be jammed with trucks after 5pm. Took six hours! But normally three is fine. Skiing and Shuanglong hotel were great though. Come on a blue sky day.

Way too slow lifts! You can make only 4 runs in hour at beginner trail. Go for intermediate and advanced for fun.
The resort has 13 marked trails totaling nearly 20 km. It was the site of the 6th Asian Winter Games in 2007, and it is beefing up facilities in preparation to host the national winter games in 2012. Read more.
Service in the whole place is terrible, better to go to Japan or Korea at least they know what they are doing.
Finally a ski resort that is approaching what you might find at the bottom end in Alps. The hotel and facilities are excellent, but hiring gear is the usual clusterf*ck!
Every half an hour, shuttle buses run from Xinzhuang metro station to Yinqixing. Special deal: 158rmb from 7pm until midnight every Friday and Saturday.
From the summit, there is a cable car station, it runs between skiing ground and summit, 40 RMB single way.
