The KSC Visitors Complex is worth the 50 min drive from Orlando. Lots of exhibitions, places to eat, free wifi and great tours. The Atlantis exhibition is the highlight of your visit! Believe me.

Great place to go and spend an hour or so. If you get to do the meet and feed of the turtles it's pretty great. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Driftwood beach is hauntingly beautiful. Must See! The Georgia sea turtle rescue center is really great. Very quiet and beautiful island, rent some bikes and take your time exploring.

It may not seem like a thrilling building, however this is the real deal - where rocket launches were managed. It is true history and American ingenuity at it's best.
Incredible museum with very interesting exhibits. In any case take the bus tour to the "Launch Complex 39" which includes the "Vehicle Assembly Building" the launch pads and the crawler-transporters !

Ghost tour was a fun way to explore the history of a fascinating site, but the bogus ghost hunting was a bit exhausting. Went at night; I imagine that's the only time it's worth it.

Crab cakes were amazing, best collard greens I've had, hoppin' John risotto was spicy but flavorful. Staff was kind and attentive. Dress ranged from a wedding party to polo's and khakis.
Located in a tiny park on John's Island. This is one well-preserved lowcountry treasure worth a visit or two. Arrive early before it gets too crowded.
Very unique bar that is mostly open-air. Get one of their delicious whiskey, rum, or vodka punch concoctions if you want to get wasted on the cheap.

The view is gorgeous at all hours. Incredibly romantic spot. 1-2hr. parking, but careful: there's a circulating traffic cop that seems to keep close watch.
Awesome gardens. Go on a cooler day otherwise it's going to be a really hot and sweaty walk. Make sure to bring the cameras because there is plenty of wildlife and flowers to take pictures of!
