London Stansted Airport is a passenger airport located at Stansted Mountfitchet in in Essex, part of M.A.G
Well organized, great waiting area with lots of places to eat, to buy.. Great airport!
Actually WiFi is free and unlimited. A bit crowded but no big complaints
Do not spend a night here unless you have to. Its very very very cold and almost all the stores/restaurants are closed.
Stansted express train has %50discount if you buy 1 month before your journey. It takes 50 minutes from London Liverpool street station to airport. Some gates are accessible by a train within airport.
Consistently the most rude airport security staff. Well done, Stansted!
Cramped and busy airport, everyone on top of each other. Too many shops. Don't expect to have a fun time. The reprieve is one hour of free wifi. I long for a real airport such as LHR
Arrive with LOTS of time to spare. They charge £3 just to drop people off now which results in a massive queue out front. Secondly, pay £5 for fast track security lane once inside to save an hour.
Avoid a late arrival if at all possible. The passport gates always have a massive queue. Airport needs some serious upgrades. Not fit for purpose.
Cheapest option to get here is with National Express. 10£ from Liverpool Street Station.
Stansted Express is the best way to get here. Free wifi at the airport, but only for an hour. Awfully long lines for security. Crowded one-car people mover to satellite terminals.
19£ train ticket to London Liverpool street station in less than 1 hour.
Security was an absolute scrum. No one seemed to have a clue what was going on. And that was transferring to a domestic flight.
WATCH doesn't make the detectors beep - keep it on!
This airport is worse than a bloody zoo .... It's been few years have not used Stansted, pity how its reached sub-zero stand. Avoid if u can, extra cost of flight is million times worthwhile.....
Stansted Express is running perfectly to Liverpool Street and it is the best way to commute. There is almost always a long queue for passport control upon landing
Very big airport, a lot of people, too crowded. Ti much stress because of the security control. Better to buy fast track at £3.5
Worst airport I've ever been to. Not enough seats, everything under construction, no outlets anywhere.
You have to walk miles and miles before you can get out of this airport...
This airport has the worst design/circulation ever, and RyanAir is pretty shady. But it sure has cheap flights.
Very well post signed.
Needs more than the 3-ish seats available
Lots of building work currently going on at this airport which makes it very cramped...good luck finding somewhere to sit.
Don't use their printers if you need them for your bus ticket, they are buggy and will eat a lot of your £ / €.
The new Wetherspoons there has a better menu and plugs everywhere.
liked. friendly security staff. 1 hour free wifi
Just a big, regular airtport. Be prepared for a long waiting in the security check queues.
Loo is between the Pret and Giraffe. You're welcome.
There's a prayer room for all faiths can be found in Check-in Zone J, opposite Caffè Alba (before security control). Opening hours are 05:00 to 23:00 daily
first impression upon arrival was the airport doesn't feel/look that 'welcoming' after a long 14 hours flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but it's alright.
Off you go, on holiday
It was nice, but it lasted an eternity to get to pick my baggage, so you shouldn't go there on Sundays
Security checks take ages. There are M&S, a small shop and Costa before security check, and few restaurants near the gates.
Be there early, always crowded
Prepare for long security queues. Avoid. ✈️
Not a fan of this airport. Its ok but could be better.
Nice airport to stay overnight!
I really like that airport. It's crowded, sometimes the organization is bad but still it has its own charm. Try to get the latest flight once. You'll be surprised how calm it is.
Very long queues to the incoming EU border in the morning! Take it into consideration when booking a transfer to London because we waited 40mins for checking documents and nearly missed our bus!
Once you are passed through security the airport is quite nice now it has undergone a major refurbishment. Security and Ryanair bag drop queues are long and slow!!
Experience is much improved recently
Once 1 hour of free wi-fi (per device) has expired, you can still use: foursquare app, most google products (search, plus, blogspot, etc, but not gmail), the airport's official website (obviously)
Vast, hollow, impersonal architecture sets the tone for this airport that is in dire need of a personality to calm all the victims of Ryanair that pass through it's white warehouse-style halls.
Its OK....not a nice looking airport but does the job and close to Cambridge
Since the refurbrishment started, the whole airport is dark, overcrowded and has lack of seats. Hope it ends soon.
Security at Departues takes an age. Get through early! (Least 30mins before boarding)
Horrible and overcrowded airport.
What a totally ridiculous new layout. Winding lane of shops to go through just after security. People stopping and tripping over each other. You should have left it as it was!
Takes ages to go through the security :(
