Sunday River: Best Bar–Après Ski & Best Nachos: Foggy Goggle The Goggle is in a perfect location for après, what with all the music and the Best in Bethel nachos and the fact that it’s sitting at the base.
Sunday River: Well known for its two long intermediate cruisers, Risky Business and American Express, and the short and steep bump run Downdraft - a perfect spot to find stashes of new snow after a storm.
Sunday River: The beginner Three Mile Trail starts here. Ecstasy is a great intermediate trail leading back to the lower trails on Locke, and Right Stuff is one of the most popular advanced runs at the resort.
Sunday River: Best International Meal & Best Place to Splurge: Cho Sun--If you think you can’t find international food in Bethel, you haven’t driven down Main Street or spent much time in South Ridge Lodge.
Sunday River: Best Pizza (tie!): Our first year, Matterhorn won. Second year, it was Suds. This year, it’s a tie between Suds’ cheesy crust and Matterhorn’s fire-grilled flatbread. Both are delicious.
Sunday River: Jordan Bowl boasts the best scenery at the resort as well as some of the longest and best runs. It's also home to this year's biggest glade attraction - Blind Ambition!
Sunday River: Runs here include a mix of glades and open trails full of natural terrain features and steep pitches. Midweek this peak is accessed via the Jordan Bowl Express chairlift.
Sunday River: Features a mix of intermediate and advanced terrain, and one of the best glades at the resort: Celestial. It is quite, secluded and a local favorite!
Sunday River: Best Burger, Best Wings, Best Bar Menu & Best Lunch Spot (tie!): Rooster’s Roadhouse. From burgers to wings to anything off of their pub menu, Rooster's Roadhouse is sure to please.
Sunday River: Best Breakfast: Crossroads--This is a three-time win for Crossroads. Very few locals can resist this gem next to Rite-Aid and across from the big intersection between Parkway Rd. and Route 2.
Sunday River: Trail favorites include Cascades, Monday Mourning, and Sunday Punch. The lower section is also home to our Rocking Chair terrain park where the annual Dumont Cup is held each spring.
Sunday River: At the eastern end of the resort, White Cap features some of the most challenging terrain including the legendary “longest steepest widest lift-serviced trail in the east,” White Heat.
Sunday River: On weekends and holidays they drop the ropes for Preferred Parking at 10am... show up a couple minutes before, then swoop in for a prime spot.
