Cool spot but enforcing the no-laptops-till-2:30 rule when the place is empty makes zero sense.

Surprisingly good coffee spot in the Heights. Nice atmosphere and close to the subway station.

This place is super cute with good vibes and coffee. But beware, if you are working on a laptop there is limited space and you're only allowed in the back. We we kicked out of the front.

Besides being a great cafe for reading, sipping lattes, and indulging in a Balthazar pastry, check the schedule to catch some talented local musicians, e.g. Brazilian jazz, with wine!

Tunisian owner opens Italian cafe in Dominican nabe. Local creatives add to the vibe. After 5pm is ideal for dates that sip wine from bottles and chat. Food is locally made. Wifi now moved to rear.

More Down Under cafe culture than NYC hustle. Come to chill, read, hang out. Espresso, relaxed staff, retro beats, & separate laptop area all get thumbs up. The curbside seats out front get great sun!

Although their espresso is rough around the edges, Taszo is a large, bright shop in an underserved neighborhood, with a separate back area for computer users.
  • Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guide
Beautiful friendly spot in Washington Heights, tucked away on a Broadway side street, Taszo serves Crop to Cup Coffee & has a separate wifi area plus a brightly lighted front area. Coffee needs work.

High hopes, but I was ultimately left disappointed. Coffee tasted yucky to me. Ridiculously over-priced for the smallest serving sizes I've ever seen. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, nonetheless.
