- ChaseJune 6, 2016Delicious cocktails and a great environment to have a good time with friends or do computer work alone. A very large, open space with lots of seating and great ambiance. Excellent stout beer on tap
- Ashley ChanJanuary 7, 2018A bit of a grungy place after 9pm, but always lively and fun for a casual night out. Expect loud hip-hop music and a long queue (with £5 cover) on weekends. They serve a good hangover brunch as well.
- Nuné MolinaMarch 9, 2015Went to an event called Bar shorts, it's on the basement floor. It was a free event and enjoyed it so much! You could order food as well and drinks. Defo check if there are any events going on! :)
- Nancy Rodrigues da CostaOctober 12, 2015This is my favourite place in London! It's a cafe, a bar a restaurant and a club all at once! When you go for breakfast please have the pancakes! You won't regret it!
- NathanSeptember 5, 2015For the uninitiated American waiting in vain for a waiter to come by, order and pay at the bar. Yes it's written on the menu, but really, who reads instructions?
- Jonathan DayMarch 22, 2015The pancakes and the coffee are good. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere all wrapped in a cool interior. Definitely will be back.
- Lindsay D'AndreaSeptember 8, 2014Love it here. Great space, perfect atmosphere..lots of outlets and free wifi. My drink with tequila and tobacco was the best cocktail I've had in London. get here.
- Amazing place both to party & see great bands at night, but also for a chilled brunch at weekend or an antisocial moment thanks to free wifi. Like the idea of the "make your own" hangover Bloody Mary!
- Lisa SMarch 15, 2015Came here on a sat night and the music was so fun! Great vibe, but the bar situation is annoying. There's one in each floor and a huge line to get to a bartender. Other than that, I loved it.
- Sophie BakalarNovember 30, 2014Quintessential hipster coffee shop in Shoreditch. Free wifi, lots of space, big windows, and great food/coffee. Not a ton of outlets; busy but not hard to get a table.
- Eva SchnarrenbergerJuly 27, 2015Poached eggs on avocado toast is definitely worth a try ! Could have been a bit more runny but it was still delicious !!!
- Gabi WOctober 7, 2018They don't take reservations. On the weekend, arrive early to avoid queuing. House breakfast is good, but not the BEST. They have live music. Great place for a long breakfast with friends.
- Di KadyrovaAugust 28, 2016Delicious cocktails (they have a nice raspberry Bellini for those who wants a light one); you can also play ping pong or piano

- Louize NaylorSeptember 18, 2017I'm no nacho expert but the nachos here are the best I've ever had. Large open space with a relaxed atmosphere.
- Alex TomlinsonSeptember 26, 2014Reasonable (for london) prices for cocktails. Doesn't have an amazing selection of beers but has plenty of space and quirk for a good night out.
- Margherita B.September 13, 2015I love this place! I only wished I lived in London to come here more often. It also has a ping pong room for some chilled out plays
- BarChickAugust 27, 2013Head upstairs for ping pong and food, although with friends and cocktails you’ve got everything you need downstairs http://barchick.com/find-a-bar/london/the-book-club
- Géraldine MullerMay 22, 2022Cool place, I had a really nice negroni. If you go a bit later at night you might have to queue and the music is cool but loud.
- Sex Drugs and Bacon Rolls Food BlogMay 5, 2013"The Book Club has a typical ‘East London feel’ to it. We were struck by the quirky bareness of the place. It had furniture that were all odd and are a mixture of long wooden tables, desks and sofas." Read more
- Hanne S.February 11, 2015Breakfast was nice and not expensive at all. You have to order at the bar and pay immediately, which I didn't mind.
- Dimitri AntonissenOctober 29, 2013They serve really good breakfast too. Try the buttermilk pancakes with fruit. Or the vegetarian full english breakfast
- Rodrиго РивераMay 16, 2015Interesting bar and restaurant. Comfortable chairs to spend hours reading or working. Very limited selection of nonalcoholic beverages.
- Time Out LondonMay 2, 2012This commendable bar-club comprises one expansive room - divided by a wall with an oval hole in the middle, giving the illusion that half of Hoxton is here - and a small pool room downstairs. Read more
- Great meeting point. Sometimes have strange door policies at the weekend.
- Arnau BronsomsDecember 7, 2015Great open space and atmosphere! Eat something, drink whatever you want, play ping-pong...
- Best soups in Shoreditch (except for the beetroot one) at £4.95. Ask for extra toast and you might not be charged.
- Cosy and cool Shoreditch feel. Nice place for a casual drink with friends.
- Joëlle M.March 7, 2014Wifi password is thebookclub, all lowercase. Try the tagini and pinot group rosé for a yummy vegetarian lunch!
- Nora JonssonSeptember 1, 2015this place is wicked! great drinks as well as the nicest brekkie. had the best of times here.
- The food is always great. Autumn menu includes pork chop with mustard mash and braised Savoy cabbage. Yum.
- Maarten den BraberApril 14, 2013Good place for drinks and music. Not much on the menu goodwise (just snacks and a burger). But theyhabe wifi, space and good tables.
- Aggelos TaplatzidisFebruary 7, 2014The sea bream is overall great, smoked trout nice but quite small. Roast ham and burger are the winners!
- Inês LeiteApril 13, 2014If you like video, animation and motion don't miss the Screen Social once a month!! Really good selection!
- Cafe by day, hipstery dance venue by night. Nice lunch options and free wifi for daytime lounging.
- Louise Mc FOctober 6, 2013Sweet spot, excellent RnB DJ. Bar is small for service & packed. Prepare to Q. Funky friendly spot.
- Akua Obeng-FrimpongJuly 21, 2012Fantastic breakfast menu - sort yourself out the morning after with a plate of american style pancakes with bacon.
- NajubeApril 7, 2011The Pear Crumble (cocktail) is delicious! There's a table tennis table on the ground floor and a (small) pool table in the basement. Nice :)
