the refinery, located in the landmark blue fin building on southwark street, near to tate modern and in the heart of london's bankside, exudes an industrial sophistication and is a great spot any time of the day or night.
I came here last century. My order was taken 50 years ago and I am still waiting at the table for the food.
Atmosfera fantastica, cibi buoni (ci sono alcuni piatti particolari e poi i soliti classici, dal fish and chips, alle insalatone, agli hamburger) e prezzi in linea con i pub del posto.Consigliatissimo
I went over 8 months ago. The food was a disaster. My pasta with ragù sauce was overcooked and gluey. The steak +"lobster" (more like a burnt prawn) was disgusting - we sent it back and got a refund
Pimm's in the summer, Aperol spritz for the rest of the year :)
Great place, very cozy hang out spot
Jugs of Pimm's and hot barmen
Check out the smallbread starters. They are delicious!
Read so many bad reviews about the service but great food. Just go there and ask about Adam. We(2 couples) just had there and have a wonderful night with very nice food. I would recommend for everybod
Average food and terrible service. Took forever to place an order. Half of which arrived. Food was like warm and chewy. Try The Table over the road instead.
Not great food unfortunately. Nice place for a drink though.
Nice place with friendly but slow staff
Walked out after nobody could be bothered serving us in the restaurant. Don't bother.
Nice buzzing atmosphere, even during lunch times. £15 steak, lobster, fries and prosecco a great deal.
Do not take the burger it is really tasteless
Rubbish. 20 mins to get served. Just walked out. Don't bother.
love the refinery, the friendly staff & lovely manager megan! great outside area and coffee for morning meetings in the sunshine! the steak and lobster deal is great too!
Don't come too thirsty- your wait for a drink, even on a quiet Sunday afternoon, will be a while
Helping our sister...
Rules before customer, go next door to del Aziz, friendly and accommodating
Return to the 90's : Very noisy but food is ok
Wifi pwd is therefinery
Been here several times over the past few years and sadly the quality of the food has gone steadily downhill.
My son said "best burger I've ever tasted"
Wine is good, staff are nice, but too many corporate tossers in the clientele
Mango mojito didn't taste much of mango.
Very noisy, but as (here) I have diner alone I don't really mind. I'm a regular customer and never been desapointed by the food ; I wouldn't say the same for the service...
High hopes dashed. The service here is pretty slow and poor.
Chilled on a Sunday
Food was lovely but the service is pretty shocking - not a place to go if you're in any kind of a hurry
You'll wait 20mins to get served even if there's noone at the bar. Nice enough place though
Nice layout but the service particularly at lunchtime is appalling. Need more staff behind the bar.
V cool restaurant & bar; try the self heal cocktail as its basically good for you!
Take the sirloin !
Avoid on a Friday evening/night. The DJ thinks he's in a nightclub in Ibiza, and consequently it's ear-splittingly loud, making conversation utterly impossible and killing any decent atmosphere.
The Stilton Fondue is incredible.
Oh dear. Refinery really let me down tonight. Bad food. Bad service. Part-refund helped but still tainted the evening.
Four staff behind the bar, only two "allowed to serve customers". WTF?
Done drinking daiquiri's and necking beers? The Table Cafe's right across the road open till 10.30pm for truly inspiring cooking.
order at the bar when busy, you'll be waiting a long time for a waitress ...
Very noisy! You will go home with a sore throat if with friends because you havde been shouting all night trying to hear one another ;(
Full of pricks in suits. Avoid.
Waitress lovely though.
Service shocking! Food nice enough.
Burgers here are lush, and the Cocktails are excellent. Nice to sit outside if its warm.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
One of my favourite places for after work drinks.
