Their food is great! The mac and cheese is to die for. Also go for some of their meet, they are not on the cheap side but they are very well made and worth the try. Don't forget the corn bread.

Ordered brisket, chicken, and sides but the brisket was kinda fatty and chicken was great. Mac n cheese side was best // sweet potato fries and cornbread was eh... live music offered perfect vibe!!

I've literally never had bad meat from the Strand. Brisket, pastrami, buffalo wings, ribs, and more: I've had almost everything on their dinner menu and loved it all. Need to come back for brunch.

Great atmosphere for a bunch of brunchers. Picnic table seating + banjo band + 4 buck bloody marys = 👌. Food is good, not wowww, but def will get ya full. The vibe is what will make me go back tho!

Full rack of baby back ribs, brisket and mac & cheese were among my favorites. Very cool atmosphere to sit and enjoy your food and drinks. Everyone in my family loved it here!

Excellent ambient, bar and great beers! Delicious corn bread! The meat is blah! Bland and no smoke flavor at all... Came here for the meat and discovered a great bar with great beer selection...

Seriously one of my favorite places in New York. Everything is incredible, you really can't go wrong. Love the moonshine cocktails too!

OMG.. This place has the best brisket I've ever had. I recommend this place to everyone I know. Plus! They have great mac and cheese!

Finally BBQ done right in queens, fall of your bone tender in this Giant cafeteria setting in Astoria. All the lovely sides that you get with BBQ. Bartender that serves craft beer and is a mixologist

Fun place to hang out and enjoy a few drinks, live music and a game. The food isn’t too shabby - the brisket is just okay, but the ribs along with mac & cheese are just right.

great value for huge portions of southern comfort food, friendly service and a mini escape to texas. the shrimp & grits and fried chicken & waffles were our favorites!

Pickles and Mac and cheese (especially the Mac and cheese), are awesome and more memorable than the meat. Super attentive friendly staff & great atmosphere esp for Astoria.

Meat with a Queens flair. Think smoked lamb, duck pastrami and even beef cheeks. A solid neighborhood spot with craft beers on tap, 40 kinds of whiskey and a stage for bluegrass bands. Read more

Sadly the Mac and cheese is not the same as once was. The thick cut bacon is also low on my charts of quality. I love the exotic ginger drink that one makes my day every time.

Great comfort bbq food. The communal seating atmosphere is awesome and the drinks along w the live bands liven up the place.

Defunct Blockbuster or up and coming BBQ joint with great food, very competent bartenders, vast whiskey menu and 16 microbrews on tap. Yeah. New hangout. Top notch speakeasy.

Astoria's best Q. Make sure to grab some ribs, some pulled pork, and the cornbread. Have a pint or one of their cocktails while you are at it.

I came here to return my blockbuster rental of Battlefield Earth, and found The Strand Steakhouse in its place. After a delicious brunch (big guy), I left the Battlefield Earth VHS in the bathroom. ;)

Great spot. It's basically a Texas style beer hall with mediocre ribs. Awesome beer and liquor selection though!

Biscuits and gravy for brunch are a good deal. The smoked chicken melts off the bone and is one of the best things ever. They do a nice job with the duck breast too.

Be prepared to spend at least $20 here on meat alone; ribs, brisket, sirloin all amazing. The sides are great and seasonal and the cornbread serving size is huge

The pulled lamb was awesome. Growlers can be tedious to pour. Get rid of the mirrors. Beer in mason jars? This place CAN be great but at the moment are trying way too hard to be liked. Ease up guys...

Tips for the Strand: 1. Get a happy hour. 2. Get rid of the 8oz. beer solution. 3. Solve the cold food problem. Things the Strand gets right: 1. Awesome atmosphere! 2. Great music!

Went last night and had the ribs and mac and cheese. The sides are priced right but I think some of the meat options could come down in price. Everything tasted good though. Good local beers.

The smell alone is worth the trip, but add in a great selection of beers, especially local, and cool vibe, and this is a destination.

Great as a beer garden, and a great new bar for the neighborhood. The BBQ needs some work though - everything was very dry and bland. Hopefully this improves, a good addition to Astoria!

Fairly large, but uninspired, beer selection (Sweet Action, Allagash White, Victory Summer Ale, etc.) Great space with large, beer-hall tables, but lousy food; you're better off at Salt & Bone on 30th
