The Fort Worth Transportation Authority, more commonly known as The T, provides quality public transportation to meet the mobility needs of Fort Worth, Tarrant County and the North Central Texas region. The T annually provides service to nearly 9 million passengers on buses, vanpools and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE), a commuter rail jointly owned by The T and Dallas Area Rapid Transit. The T is a regional transportation authority of the State of Texas and is governed by a nine-member board of directors.
