Lovely fish platter!
Mind the red-shirted pool gestapo who take health & safety to mean, "Just don't have fun - it's too dangerous!"
Camping site fof tents has great views, but just 2 sockets for electric hook-up!
Nice pool in the summer! Quiet lane, lovely neighbours who keep an eye out for each other.
Toilets are at either end of the train - don't wait until the last minute!
Coffee at the BLT Café is ripoff - tiny little cups for the price of a medium elsewhere!
Check out the website!
Download the Tower of London Free app for a guide, as the voice guide costs £4 for adults. The Yeomen also do free guides, although limited. Use free wifi at the ticket booths or Costa's nearby.
Check the tide tables, low tide is good for long walks on the flats, nearer high tide better for swimming. No BBQing is allowed, go to East Beach for that! Bad taste leaving ash on the beach, BTW!
Be nice to the staff - they are trying their best in the vast majority of cases - they need appreciation as anyone does. Very decent canteen too, with a coffee shop that compares well with high street
Yaki Udon is my longstanding favourite here - beats Wagamama price and quality!
Ask about great white deal - £400 Zoom AND home whitening kit, or ultra conservative direct veneers with Charl for an instant makeover
Nice gym! One of nicest hotel gyms I've seen in a while - all the equipment works.
Lovely garden terrace that is a real sun trap! Great smoothies, paninis and salads. Support Fairtrade and organic coffee. I am now spoiled with the lattes! Just up the road from @ Shenfield Station
