Lots of young people like to "swim" in the fountain on hot days or late at night. I hope they know that other young people like to pee in it.
I heard that Berkeley included a lot of classical design, including this fountain, because at one point it was considered as the state capital.

This is possible the most beautiful cafe in Berkeley, has a back patio with a fountain and the light is good. The only problem is that they don't have wifi on weekends...

Looks small from the outside, but the back is very large. Beautiful light from the garden patio outside with even more seats. Outlets towards the corners only, Wi-Fi is decent.

This place is now one of my top 5 burger spots, and I've been to many burger places all around the Bay Area.
The burger choices are all top-notch. Highly recommend the rotating beers... Have yet to try their rye whiskey selection, but look forward to it. Casual place with multiple monitors to check out games
Not a great spot if you have time constraints. They have some point-of-sale issues they need to work out, and the kitchen takes about 20 minutes on a slow day.
The "Indian Chipotle" (build your own nann wrap or bowl) Great quick, healthy food. Great gluten free and veggie options. And for my "clean eaters" they have grass fed beef and organic veggies!
