Great place to come watch the waves.. a little too crowded to swim, mostly surfers here, so don't want to get in their way, especially if you go down the beach a little

Great place to jog, walk the dog, go on family outings, surf, fly kites and see the Barefoot Mardi Gras parade.
Great beach that is not crowded. No facilities in the area we stayed in, but a good beach overall.

Camping on the beach is free and you're allowed to have campfires. Bring a trash bag to help clean up the trash that washes up or pick one up in the visitor's center
Central Texans who want to take a short drive to a beautiful beach can look no farther than Mustang Island. Port Aransas is at the northern end, and a roadway to Padre Island is on the southern tip.
Stand in the surf and listen to nature
The fishing out here is superb. Bring friends and some beer and you're set
County recently acquired 3/15/2013 the pier and has shut down the shop & restaurant. Bring your own bait. They no longer are selling it here.
My favorite place to go and relax. I've been coming here for years. Also, as a disabled vet, I got a free lifetime pass. They have numerous educational things throughout the week for all ages. A must!
Check out turtle release, very cool! The park rangers will take your camera/phone and get close ups of the turtles........nature is awesome!

You must go see "The Rose Man", he makes roses from Palm Tree husks (fronds/baby Palms) You will be amazed, I promise o find him he's near the Selena Memorial thank you you won't be disappointed

Great place for long walks, picnics, fishing, bird watching, kite flying and other open air activities. Beach parking permits required and are at convenience stores.
Great boardwalk to walk on near Holiday Inn and not so crowded.
Good fishing on the jetties

While in Corpus go to Nikos Steak House, Floyd's, Laguna Reef, Treasure Island gifts, The Scuttlebutt, Ol Steakhouse Co., Cheetah's and best Wells Fargo ever on Waldron Road.
Great selections of restaurants and cute shops- come OTB for a quick mini vacation!
The views are gorgeous. The pier is closed but there’s still a pretty awesome park for kids and a skate park. Nice walk/run/ride trail. Not much light after dark.

Camp on Malequite beach and you'll never want to leave! Amazingly clean bathrooms, the nicest showera I've seen, and with hot water! Friendly people around yet secluded and gorgeous!

Go to Johnny D's for the fried calamari ... the spicy dip sauce is great. Closed on Monday and Tuesday until February.
Very clean family friendly beach. Great view of the harbor bridge and the Lexington.
On Sundays there is live music with lunch at Pier 99. Great view of the city.

This beach has several paved and unpaved campsites with water and electric hookups. Amenities include a bathhouse and washateria. It's open all year so check the weather before you head out here!
You don't need a beach permit if you park in the paved area.
