Beautiful gardens, plenty to see and lots of room to spread out and read a book or have a picnic. Don't forget to take the kids to see the hundreds of pumpkins. I've never seen so many different kinds

Good free fun & great place to take the family. Parents make sure you bring swimsuits & towels for the kiddos. I brought a picnic blanket & sandwiches but we couldn't resist the awesome food trucks!

The trail is shaded quite well. Great for an evening run. They say its 2 miles around too!!

One of the best woodsy-outdoor escapes in Dallas County. There are picnic tables, miles of hiking trails & a nice little pond. (And poison ivy off trail, you've been warned). It's closed on Mondays.

A great Park to have a picnic. In the afternoons, almost always, there are many other kids playing there. Also, it's near Goar park, which has a field, fountain and creek the kiddos can explore!
Hidden gem; my kids love to picnic on the field! Nice water views, great playground, and a nice field to play sports. Plenty of parking! (Con: No bathrooms; however, walk across street to Gore Park.)

Summertime means Shakespeare in the park. Get there early, bring a picnic and relax. Alcohol allowed. Has a small concession stand and chair rental.
Become a member of Dallas Shakespere. You get preferred seating and unlimited entry to the shows. Great ways to spend an evening with friends!

Love this place. It's perfect because there's tons of variety so you can get whatever you're craving. Everything I've had has been fantastic except for the picnic basket. Didnt care for that
