Mauro Maggioni: In my opinion the best bread in town, close-enough-to European flavour and texture (except for the baguettes). Good sweets too - try the powdered sugar covered chocolate round biscuits.

Food & Wine: Claudia Kemmet-Cooper named her pastry shop after the guglhupf, a traditional German cake with almonds, rum-soaked golden raisins and powdered sugar.
