The permanent collection is free and it contains a wide variety of art, from medieval times onwards. Its temporary exhibits are exquisite and they even have a section on Napoleon
Cavernous space that just keeps going. Nice collection of contemporary and modern art. Temporary exhibit space is largest attraction so be sure you're interested. Lovely day overall.

This is not Montreal'a main art museum. You can catch underground rail transportation from here though.
Free wifi. One of the smaller modern art museum I've been to but with conceptual and tightly curated exhibitions. Awesome media center on the top floor.

Reminds me of the wild\raw art gallery\space in Venice Italy called "il Arsenale". Check it out I'm sure that's what they based their name on.

too many people and not enough room to move a stroller around the terracotta army exhibit. Red Flag and Earth is Blue like and Orange are good shows

Art, but in general. The day I went has the Rap Mommies, with rap and visuals of the 90s. Very good. Relaxed environment. 10$ cover.
