Fantastic new park!
Nice park. Needs bathrooms. Dog park needs water bowls inside the gate, covering over benches to provide shade. Trees need to be moved to side to provide more play room for dogs. Worth a visit!!

The park was created in the late 80s/early 90s on land that had been old wharves and warehouses along the riverfront. It is named after philanthropist Malcolm Woldenberg who helped fund its creation.
A visit to Woldenberg Park is like walking through a stately outdoor museum and gallery. Get yourself a Becherovka cocktail to go and start exploring!
Absolutely worth a wander if you're visiting NOMA or City Park. There's another entrance near Morning Call. Quite the staggering selection of more than 60 artists.

Allow plenty of time. You will want to enjoy all of the pieces of art and there are many. The park is huge with a lake and also a small garden.
Huge fountain in the front of the park is one of my favorite places in the city!
This is a tip to the Audubon Park Commission: Clean the fountain at the entrance, and ensure that water is flowing from both turtles! It's too lovely not to be clean and functioning properly.

Park on the street during busy times. It's only frustrating to look for a spot in the covered parking during the rush.
Please don't park in front of my house. Go to the vets store instead. I don't leave my house on weekends and if I do, I better have a spot when I get back--that isn't 3 blocks away!

What they say about coming here for beignets is so true. Steamboat Willie in a park was one of my fav New Orleans experiences.
This park is the shit mostly because there is minimal shit on the ground. just watch out for the snobby hierarchy of old people that watch and judge you and your dog. Look for Sal Paradise!
